    from Sunny Anderson of Food Network...these are AMAZING! They are slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My family LOVED them! It is very important that you use the parchment paper on your cookie sheets. It helps your cookies to not spread too much and to not stick to the cookie sheet!

    This is based off the Kitchenaide 60 minute roll recipe but I just tweaked a little bit by adding some extra flavors to the mix. This recipe is for a stand mixer. If you want the onion/garlic flavors to be stronger add more....less then add less.

    This is like the Haupia dessert except this is served warm over pancakes. I like to add coconut and or macadamia nuts to "plain" pancakes and serve it with this as it's syrup or you can use in in pineapple crepes and add pecans!

    We had a Luau potluck over the weekend and these bars were brought by a friend. She got the recipe out of a church cookbook from Hawaii.     This doesn't use a "starter" and so can be made a little more on demand that the breads where it may take a week or longer to make a starter. It also uses some whole wheat flour as well as rye flour making this loaf is a little "lighter". You can leave out the caraway seeds if you prefer a bread without them. Read the directions thoroughly...I was confused the first time I read through as the flours are added at different times.

    I love these on hot summer evenings! They really hit the spot! Sometimes I boil the chicken in chicken broth instead of water. Sometimes I use shredded lettuce.     I love shortbread and I like sugar cookies but a cookie that is both...that's heaven! This is the kind of icing that "dries" and makes almost like a candy shell on the cookie. When the icing is dry, store in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also keep the unbaked dough in the fridge for up to a week...but who can resist making these that long? You have to use butter to get the right taste. Sometimes just for a different flavor I add a teaspoon or two of almond extract.

    I made this by grabbing things out of the pantry one night when I was in a hurry. I made a cup of rice in the microwave and added it too. I think it could go either way - with or without the rice. I would think you could add other spices to mix up the flavor based on your preference! The Rotel tomatoes make it decently spicy as is.

    This of my version of the ultimate easy and cheater chicken pot pie. We make this on nights when the family is all going a different direction but we want some comfort food! It comes together really quickly and uses every day ingredients. When I have the time I make my own crust and I sometimes use different vegetables.
