This is on my menu for Thanksgiving! It's another recipe from Heather Van Vorous. You'll never believe this decadent dessert is low fat!

    Recipe #145967

This bread has a subtle but very delicious flavor. It's very moist and makes a perfect breakfast with coffee or tea. I've made it with the dried cranberries, and I think it would have a great texture with the pecans! It's from The First Year by Heather Van Vorous.

This scrumptious-looking recipe just cries out "Autumn!" It's from Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker by Robin Robertson. She says it's "great for a crowd at holiday gatherings when you want the seasonal taste of pumpkin without the fuss of a pie." I can't wait to try it!

This is the perfect side dish on a chilly Autumn evening. The apples give it just the right amount of sweetness, and it smells heavenly cooking. I actually cooked this in a smaller oval casserole dish and used 2 sweet potatoes and 3 apples, so obviously the amounts are very flexible. Just reduce the other ingredients and make sure you use enough OJ so that it covers about 2/3 of the sweet potatoes and apples. Yum! I got this wonderful recipe from my friend Shell Marr.

According to about.com, these pear muffins are a delightful Fall treat. Cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg add a nice flavor. As always, these muffins are at their best warm from the oven, but they freeze well, too. I can't wait to try them on a crisp Autumn morning.

I created this concoction based on kburie's Tropical Martini. I thought I'd play around and see what it would be like as a creamier drink, and this was the result. I love it! It's sort of like a White Russian, but more tropical. I make this using rice milk, but I'm sure any type of milk would work wonderfully.

I've had baked apples, but baking peaches is a new concept for me. I can't wait to try this. It's from a locah 4-H cookbook.

This strawberry bread contains a lot less margarine or oil than most I saw on Zaar. I got it from a local 4-H cookbook and can't wait to give it a try. I added my own touches, of course.

This is different than any other plum crisps I found on Zaar because it's made with honey as well as white and brown sugars. I got it from a local 4-H cookbook, although I adapted it to make it dairy-free.

These muffins combine fresh peaches, creamy yogurt, and chewy oatmeal. They're from a cookbooklet I bought at a local farm market, Peach Perfect (Low Fat Recipes) by Sherri Eldridge. Each muffin has only 159 calories and 3 grams of fat. Use soy yogurt to make these dairy-free.

I received this simple and summery recipe from Care2's Eat Well Naturally newsletter and just had to save it. They say if you don’t have any honeydew handy you can use any sweet melon you desire. Cooking time equals time to chill.
