    Recipe #407477

You don't have to be vegan to enjoy this cake, it is fabulous. We were at a cottage with friends of my brothers, in four days we managed to scarf down at least five of these cakes with only five people! It is moist and very tasty. We barely waited for the cake to cool down, and didn't even bother with frosting. I imagine if you want to frost the cake, it would be even better. Or just sprinkle with a little icing sugar, or a glaze. Double the recipe if you want layers.

    Recipe #392771

This is a decadent version of French toast that we usually do for Christmas or New Years breakfast. It's great any time of year or any time you want to have a fancy breakfast or brunch.

    Recipe #357013

A light soup rich in flavour and topped with crunchy, cheesy croutons is a lovely start to a festive meal. If you would like a deeper mushroom flavour, use cremini or other exotic mushrooms. The flavours benefit from being made ahead, so make the soup a day or two ahead and reheat before serving, which also makes for easy entertaining. Be sure to make the croutons just before you serve the soup, for the crispiest texture. The aroma as they toast in the oven will tantalize everyone's taste buds. A hard cheese that can be very finely grated is best for the croutons. Try Parmesan, Romano, Manchego, Asiago or very well aged Gouda or cheddar (at least 5 years old). Use the finest grater you have to shred the cheese. From LCBO magazine.

    Recipe #354845

This flavourful onion stuffing keeps the pork juicy and really tasty! Long slow barbecuing keeps the pork tender and adds a hint of smokiness.

    Recipe #354795

This slow method of cooking salmon produces a fish that is very evenly cooked and still moist throughout. The rich sauce with hints of tarragon, lemon and beer adds to the flavour of the whole dish. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

    Recipe #354700

I was inspired with our trip to New Zealand to create this recipe. There were many cafes that had wonderful chicken, cranberry and Brie panini sandwiches, and I wanted to have a main course that was similar in flavour. The Cranberry Cream Sauce enhances the sweet and savoury combination.
