This recipe comes from the December 09 issue of Bon Appetit Magazine and is very easy to make. Tying a piece of kitchen string around each veal shank keeps the meat from falling off the bone while cooking.

    Recipe #411263

Very easy to put together. I have a 6qt All-clad crock pot with the insert that I'm able to use on the stove top as well, which comes in sooo handy. Otherwise, just brown your beef in a large skillet, drain, and transfer to your crockpot. This makes a good size batch so if your crock pot is much smaller, just try cutting the recipe in half. If you work during the day, this can be thrown together the evening before, stuck in the fridge, then started before you leave for work. Can't get any easier than that!

    Recipe #411158

This recipe comes from an old family friend who makes the best caramel ever! Prep and cooking time does not include cooling and cutting time. NOTE: THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO MAKE IF IT'S WET OR RAINY OUTSIDE, AS FOR SOME REASON THE CARAMEL WON'T SET UP CORRECTLY:(

    Recipe #402982

This recipe comes from my cousin Rita, and is a great alternative to ordinary lasagna. It is very easy to make and very tasty! I happen to be a do-it-ahead type, so you can make the meat/marinara mixture ahead and put it in the fridge until your ready...so simple and quick to throw together!

    Recipe #402299

My version of a fattening yet easy Alfredo Pasta. Prep time and cooking time fall hand in hand, so this really is about a 30 - 45 minute meal. Serve with a salad, and Rosemary Bread, if desired.

    Recipe #397353

This recipe comes from my daughter's father-in-law's aunt and is REALLY good. The peanut butter and banana flavor are just enough to add a little flavor to the chocolate. Very good on chocolate cake!

    Recipe #392105

A favorite of the family that is good on a cold day with a fresh loaf of bread. Easy to make, yet very filling.

    Recipe #384057

dad...this one's for you! Simple, and virtually no sodium. If you use the organic unsweetened coconut and unsalted butter you'll really only have 26mg of sodium per chicken breast. (the nutrition facts listed is based on sweetened coconut and salted butter). The amount of 1/2 and 1/2 used has 24mg sodium, the amount of sesame seeds used has 1mg sodium, and the amount of flour used has 1mg sodium (per serving).

    Recipe #377492

This is a recipe that I've tweaked and tried to make as low sodium as possible for my dad, mostly. Needless to say, healthy or not, it is a family favorite that I keep on hand. It's great as a cold cereal or on fresh fruit or yougurt.

    Recipe #377394

Score the steak with a sharp knife and pound it with a meat mallet to make it more tender and easier to roll into a spiral.

    Recipe #374348

I can't remember which magazine I found this recipe in, but it is a nice change from ordinary grilled steak.

    Recipe #374224

These are those little mints that are great at baby showers, bridal showers or just anytime you want to make a little something special for a party. You can buy candy molds at any crafts store to match you theme...or not.

    Recipe #367410

This recipe comes from my husband's cousin and is a family favorite. It is often requested for potlucks or even camping trips, and can be made ahead by keeping the dressing seperate, the lettuce and green onion in it's own ziploc bag, and by browning the Ramen noodles and almonds/seeds and putting them in their own ziploc once cooled, and by doing the same with the chicken. Then, when you're ready...just mix everything together!

    Recipe #367409

Another easy yet tasty bread to make in the bread machine.

    Recipe #367329

This recipe comes from my mother-in-law and is very easy to prepare.

    Recipe #367210

A new spin on pork. This is very easy, very quick, and somewhat spicy.

    Recipe #367197

This is an easy bread machine recipe that I came up with after tweaking a few other recipes, mixing and matching and finding what works for me. My family likes to eat this while still warm, and we usually dip it in olive oil, with a few drops of balsamic vinegar and coarsely ground pepper. I have listed ingredients by the way I add them to MY bread machine, so be sure to check that your particular bread machine doesn't require another way of adding ingredients. If so, follow your bread machines instructions for the order in which to add ingredients.

    Recipe #349376

Moist and easy chocolate cake. Did I mention fattening?

    Recipe #330354

These little bites are the perfect do-ahead appetizer. Spoon the dough onto a greased cookie sheet and refrigerate up to 4 hours. Pop them in the oven about 10 minutes before your guests arrive. This recipe comes from the Betty Crocker's Bisquick Cookbook. Enjoy!

    Recipe #330276

A chocolate-lover's cheesecake, from the Bisquick Cookbook.
