Some onions become milder and gain sweetness as they cook. Although the recipe calls for Vidalia onions you can use any sweet onion in this recipe. I usually cook my tenderloin on the bbq but did this one in the oven. My DD prefers it done this way.

    Recipe #145795

A compress can be used topically to remove excess heat from the body and is great for treating inflammation and swelling. This is from the "Alive" magazine.

    Recipe #131853

This is from the Aug 2005 "Alive" magazine. Yield: 125 ml bottle.

    Recipe #131851

Found this in the "Alive" magazine. Spray on itchy skin as needed.

    Recipe #131850

For a thick shake, place the milk in the freezer for about 10 minutes before blending. If possible chill the espresso mixture too. Found this recipe in Readers Digest.

    Recipe #129775

I made this for dinner tonight along with rice and steamed vegetables. I thought the marinade would be hot but the maple syrup adds a bit of sweetness. I cooked it on the bbq for approx 10 minutes and it was perfect.

    Recipe #129770

It doesn't get any easier than this. A healthy alternative to popsicles. Try substituting it with other fruit and jam for a change of pace. Cooking time is for freezing time. I got this recipe from Readers Digest Eat Well, Stay Well.

    Recipe #129766

Great for a party and yields approx. 30-35 punch cup servings

    Recipe #114036

My mother gave me this recipe over 25 years ago. I thought I had better post it before I lose the worn out piece of paper it's written on.

    Recipe #113568

I used pork for this recipe but you could also use chicken or turkey. It was a quick and easy recipe I found in the Canadian Living Magazine. The important thing is the kids loved it, and inexpensive to make. I used fresh mushrooms as I prefer them over canned. I served it with a side dish of the colored bow tie pasta and peas. I also bought prepared pork schnitzel from the butcher which saves a few steps.

    Recipe #113173

My brother made this for my kids one day when they were visiting him. It has become my DD favourite meal. The sausage adds enough spicy flavour to this pasta dish.

    Recipe #112932

This marinade can be used for seafood, vegetables, chicken, and pork chops. General rule seafood & vegetables should only marinade for 30 minutes and chicken & pork or larger cuts of meat 1 hr to 24 hrs. Found this recipe in a Betty Crocker grilling brochure.

    Recipe #110213

Try these if you want a healthy alternative to fast-food chicken nuggets. Serve them with apple sauce or light ranch salad dressing for dipping and a salad. This recipe came from "The Prevention Guide."

    Recipe #110115

This sauce is great on grilled salmon. The ginger adds a robust flavour to the salmon. Cooking time includes 20 minutes of marinating. Recipe source; Tufts University guide to Healthy Living Magazine

    Recipe #97560

The lemon and rosemary add a wonderful flavour to this marinade while the olives add a richness. Easy to make and great to taste. Cooking time includes 20 minutes of marniating. Reicpe Source: Tufts University guide to Healthy Living Magazine

    Recipe #97454

A delicious rich tasting soft cookie that is quick and easy to make. If you love brownies or peanut butter give these a try. The original recipe (Pillsbury Bake Off - 41 Contest submitted by Deb McGowan) calls for 1-cup peanut butter and 1 cup powder sugar. I had lots left over so I have decreased it to 3/4 cup each on this recipe. The 1st batch I didn't press the peanut butter ball down enough but still tasted great. Make sure you let them cool as the peanut butter holds the heat and you may burn your mouth.

    Recipe #97332

The amaretto adds a subtle flavour to this light tasting dessert. Quick and easy to make as it only needs to chill for 30 minutes. The original recipe calls for 1 3.3 oz pkg of instant white chocolate pudding mix which I have yet to find in my grocery stores and 1/2 cup fat free milk. I have substituted PC's Devon Custard or in French "Creme Anglaise du Devon" for the white chocolate pudding. I also added fresh raspberries and kiwi to jazz it up. Do not make the day before or the cake may become soggy. Cooking time is for chilling. Original recipe source:Cooking Light

    Recipe #95788

If you love artichoke and spinach you will love these little pizzas. The cream cheese gives it a nice creamy texture. You could make your pizza dough or use store bought and make a large pizza and just add a bit of garlic or garlic butter to suit your taste. I serve this with a garden salad, or you could serve it as an appetizer Source: Pillsbury Bake Off Booklet, recipe submitted by Heather Halonie/Webster, Wisconsin

    Recipe #95690

This is a quick and easy recipe that only requires 6 ingredients. Tastes best when it comes out of the oven or eaten the same day it is made. I used one thawed pie pastry for the crust. You might want to sprinkle tapicoa on the pastry before layering with apples so the juices don't make the pastry soggy.

    Recipe #87662

The kiwi-mango relish with cilantro adds a wonderful flavour to this easy salmon recipe. If you are not fond of cilantro you will want to cut back a bit as it can be strong. It does not take a lot of time to prepare. My 12 year old made this for dinner one night (with very little supervision) and did a fantastic job. She found this recipe in my Cooking Light magazine.
