This recipe takes some time to make but it needs very little attention. You can work on the main meal while this is cooking. Breaking into the cheesy crust on top is a unique way to present this soup to your guests.
I got this recipe from a Canadian cheese magazine, "all you need is cheese". It stated to use turkey, but there's no reason that you can't use chicken. You can replace the aged cheddar with gouda, mild cheddar, slices of brie or crumbled feta. This recipe can be prepared ahead of time and baked at the last minute. Enjoy!
Bechamel is a wonderful white sauce that you can add on top of pasta, chicken, etc. dishes. It usually consists of butter and cream so this version is much lighter but with all the flavour. I like to use it on pasta instead of alfredo sauce. Enjoy!
A cozy drink to make for those cold nights. Great to have at a family dinner, like Thanksgiving or Christmas. The incredible smell of this in your house is unbelievably welcoming as well! I have made large batches of mulled wine and kept it in a crockpot for guests to help themselves. Enjoy!
A great dish to make if you are having lots of company or to take to a potluck. Add whatever you think you would like. I have made this in a large chafing dish and served it at a birthday party. You can also make this in a large foil or hotel tray. OR scale it down to have just with your family. I always use low fat ingredients, but this works with full fat products as well. Serve with crusty rolls and salad. Enjoy!
This is a recipe from Michael Smith, a popular Canadian chef who has the show "Chef at Home" on Food Network Canada. He believes that you should always follow your instinct and not so much the recipe when cooking. Exchange one ingredient for another, substitute ingredients for ones that you think you will like more, always personalize to your own tastes. Enjoy!
A follow-up to Recipe #349613, this recipe is healthier and has more fresh ingredients. You could realistically have this meal on the table in a half hour as you are doing a lot of the prep while waiting for the pasta. This counts as 7 WW points. Enjoy!
Made this up for company tonight and we really liked the results. The fresh bread crumbs and fresh parmesan really made this dish. I recommend cooking them on a rack so the coating is nice and crispy. Enjoy!
One of my all-time favourite soups, this is rich and very tasty. No one needs to know that it's healthy! You really should use the chicken thighs because it contributes a lot to the flavour and richness. Enjoy!
I wanted to whip up some pasta for dinner tonight and this is what I came up with! I kept it low calorie and low fat but feel free to add some white wine or saute the veggies in butter or oil. If I wasn't watching what I am eating, I would probably do both! :) I used cream cheese to thicken up the sauce a bit and I really like the taste. FYI - it counts as 8 WW points. Enjoy!
I thought I had spaghetti sauce and had planned to make spaghetti and meatballs for supper. I hope you like this version. You can play around with it and add a bunch of sauteed veggies. I just didn't have time! Enjoy!
