Basic ingredients for Swiss Alpine Macaroni include potatoes, macaroni, cheese and onions. Of course, there are several variations of this popular recipe, but no matter how it is prepared, this rustic delight, you just love it. Muscat is a sweet or fortified white wine made from a muscat grape. Mountain cheese (Allgäuer Bergkäse) is sometimes called the baby brother to Emmentaler as it is eaten younger. It is made in the mountains in alpine dairy huts. I did not include the time for the optional onion ring topping as you can do it while cooking the main dish. Enjoy!

Who says that recipes have to be complicated to be amazing? This one will prove that it doesn't! Try it on chicken or really any other meat. Great for grilled veggies too! You only have to remember to use equal parts of each spice to make this. This is a Chatelaine magazine recipe. Enjoy!

This recipe was on the President's Choice website to serve with recipe #459826. Simple with minimal effort - perfect! I didn't count the salt as an ingredient. Please note that it states you need 2 hours for the onions to soften. I made this recipe for a work event and I greatly increased the amount of coleslaw mix that it works with. Enjoy!

Michael Smith says: "I'm addicted to chocolate and always look for a way to work it into a treat, especially with coffee. Together they make mocha. This coffee flavoured chocolate cake batter baked in coffee cups looks like a cup of coffee – until you cut into it!". Enjoy!

I got this recipe from a Canadian cheese magazine, "all you need is cheese". It stated to use turkey, but there's no reason that you can't use chicken. You can replace the aged cheddar with gouda, mild cheddar, slices of brie or crumbled feta. This recipe can be prepared ahead of time and baked at the last minute. Enjoy!

While they have origins in Moorish Spain, alfajores are especially popular in South America. They are simple shortbread sandwich cookies with a sweet filling of Recipe #456177. Different doughs are used for the cookies depending on the country. Some use normal flour dough, while others add cornstarch or even cassava flour for a more delicate crumb. This recipe uses a mixture of flour and cornstarch. Enjoy!

This was my first ever attempt at making risotto and we loved it! I called up my Sister and she gave me the directions to her fabulous risotto over the phone - the instructions were that easy. It's not difficult but labour-intensive - you have to give this dish your undivided attention and stir, stir, stir! You can also add other veggies while cooking and/or butter at the end.Enjoy!

Don't let the name fool you - these are delicious! My Sister had some pretty strict dietary needs and found a recipe that she could play around with to suit her needs. It has no soy, and no milk products but tastes terrific. The best thing about this is that you can lick the bowl because there are no eggs! This brownie is a little more cake-like but I don't like really rich foods, so it's perfect. Enjoy!

Rissoles are an economical everyday dish. When dining informally with a large group of people, you'll often find Rissoles on the menu, especially if it's a barbeque! You can triple the recipe and freeze the extra cooked Rissoles for future meals or freeze them raw and cook them later. You can serve them with ketchup or gravy as a main dish or eaten cold as a snack. I found this recipe on an Australian website. Enjoy!
