Adapted from a stovetop recipe in an old Pleasant Company (Yes, as in American Girl) cookbook called "Great Girl Food". Simple to make, and good for when you want a quick, warming drink!
I should note that the sugar HAS to be brown. The molasses in brown sugar adds an extra needed touch of spice. The spice mixture will also leave a bit of grit behind in the mug if you don't stir it around every once in a while as you're drinking it. I wish I could come up with a way to fix that, but so far I haven't thought of one yet.
