I created this recipe as a way of getting rid of some "scraps" I had laying around my fridge. I always buy large 16 ounce containers of Sour Cream, and it tends to spoil before I use it all. I wanted to hurry up and use up my Sour Cream before it spoiled.
This is a casserole I came up with when I worked in a group home where I had to cook dinner for 6 grown men. Please note: some of these are estimates as I honestly don't know the exact size on some of these containers for Zaar's computer. Use whatever you can find in your store (12, 8, 16 ounce)
This is a recipe my great-grandmother made years ago when I was a small child and she used to watch us kids while my mother went to work. She used to give us this in a bowl with some warm milk and a little bit of sugar on it!
I got this out of one of Paula Deen's cookbooks and my mother asks me to make her a batch every time I come home to visit. I gave her the recipe, but she says if she makes it she has to clean up the dishes!
I grew up cooking with my grandmother who never believed in measuring a thing, so please excuse me if my "guesstimates" are off!
This recipe came to me as I attempted to duplicate my grandmothers famous baked beans, and well I will honestly say that they aren't hers but they certainly don't last around my house! There are so few ingredients that you can feel free to experiment in throwing in whatever you like
