They used to sell this at a little cafe where I used to work in Santa Monica, it was heaven for a late breakfast when I'd forgotten to eat that morning... I hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #298212

I always make these when my girlfriends and I go wine tasting, they are easy and absolutely delicious! Enjoy!

    Recipe #342429

Looking for something healthy and cool to go with tonight's dinner I threw this together (and have sampled it a bit to see if it works) and it's delicious! If you have other favorite ingredients give it a shot! You never know until you try...

    Recipe #298578

These are even better than cheddar bay biscuits, I was tweaking a buttermilk biscuit recipe I had and came up with this, these biscuits ROCK! Enjoy! Oh! And they're even better heated up the next day - 2 biscuits in the microwave for 30 seconds.

    Recipe #265758

Friends from work used to hire me to make this salsa for work functions as I always used fresh ingredients from my garden, it is so fresh & healthy I hope you enjoy it! Sadly the bunnies & squirrels have discovered my garden site & I no longer have one... Fresh from the garden is best! This recipe will feed a crowd, it has just enough kick and lovely flavor from the habeneros so add at least one if you're a bit chicken. I often use some of the salsa in omelets the next day - or add to tacos, etc. It will only last a few days as other than salt there are no preservatives so make it the day you plan to eat it for best results.

    Recipe #298097

This is so easy & so darned good. I just made a batch for my Mom who is under the weather, she really liked it - I omitted the onion for her as she can't tolerate it & she actually had a whole bowl when the day before all she could eat was a half a pear & a cup of tea... I love this stuff & usually eat it for a week after I make a batch. It's that good... Be sure to get the bone-in short ribs as the bones add to the flavor.

    Recipe #300101

These are light & fluffy & a knockout on buttered toast! enjoy!

    Recipe #299283

After trying Fried Green Tomatoes in several restaurants I finally broke down & threw this together to see if I could do better & voila! Best I've ever had so do try this & be sure to get ripe green tomatoes (or striped heirlooms) from your local farmer's market. That's the only way to enjoy them. Some places will cheat & use regualr tomatoes that aren't ripe (so they're still green) and the flavor is just awful. You really have to have ripe green ones to do it justice... My favorite is Giant German Green & I used to grow them at home but the squirrels & rabbits have done my garden in so I have to make the trip to Tom's Farms. Well worth it! Hope you enjoy! Oh, hey, if you like add a few drops hot sauce to the egg, try without first. If you have any bacon fat the flavor is worth it to add a bit of that to butter & oil.

    Recipe #300455

I threw this together and wow'd the boyfriend who's only complaint was that I didn't cook enough of it so I've upped the recipe to make sure you'll have enough! Quite frankly, it was the best tasting chicken I've ever made. Hope you enjoy! You can find the black truffle butter on Amazon.com if it isn't available in your area.

    Recipe #345516

On a road trip across country we stopped in a restaurant in New Mexico and tried these - I can't remember now what they called them but they were so good I asked for the recipe -- nothin' to it & the best use of your left over corned beef I can imagine!

    Recipe #297446

Once my friend Hilda from Guatemala convinced me it wouldn't kill me I tried beef tongue...then I begged her for the recipe! Over the years I've tweeked it a bit and it's only gotten better, you've GOT to try this! Just don't tell your kids what it is & they'll love it too, even my boyfriend's 9 year old thinks it's awesome! Hilda used to boil it but I decided to try it with the crock pot & man, it's just awesome, so tender & absolutely delicious!

    Recipe #297549

Can't remember where I came across this but I've remembered the recipe over the years and enjoy it when heirloom tomatoes are available. If you don't grow them yourself check your local stand, I am lucky enough to have a Tom's Farms that carries them in Summer...

    Recipe #298179

More affectionately known as Beer Butt Game Hen. In the photo I have used a rinsed out coke can as I wanted to use my Arrogant Bastard Ale & it comes in a bottle... The things one must endure... Anyway, simple, easy & delicious, crispy on the outside & moist & tender on the inside, this little birdie will serve two and makes for a lovely romantic dinner (especially when you have some extra beer!!!)

    Recipe #295619

My buddy Mike from World's Best Pizza in Escondido passed this on to me. Gotta love that guy! Recipezaar wouldn't allow Red Silk beans as an ingredient so I listed as beans with the description & distributor information after that. You can probably find them online or in the ethnic foods. Or just stop by World's Best Pizza in Escondido. Mike sells them for $3.99 Well, of course I couldn't leave it alone, I had to make some changes while I cooked so here is the updated recipe!

    Recipe #300065

I was looking for an easy hamburger recipe & didn't have all the ingredients for the ones on the site so I threw this together & it turned out awesome! I hope you enjoy...

    Recipe #368947

I found the original recipe on this site submitted by Cindy Hartlin & changed it so much I just decided to re-do it with the new additions as I can never remember what I do to recipes unless I write it down. On a whim I threw some grated parmesan romano on top too, it added a slightly nutty flavor & was quite delicious... Hope you like it, we sure do!

    Recipe #300190

I was in a pinch for a quick easy recipe & just threw this together on a whim. Turned out delicious and SO moist & tender! I think you'll love it, my boyfriend sure did!

    Recipe #295613

This is so easy & delicious, best lasagna I've ever had, my honey can't get enough and a large pan will usually only last a few days... My Mom's Grandma is from the old country and this has been handed down generation to generation... Can't get better than that!

    Recipe #298846

I used to get this from a little sidewalk stand on the way into work Downtown San Diego until they moved on. I was smart enough to ask them for the recipe. Absolutely delicious!

    Recipe #298121

It's so simple & easy for the life of me I don't know why our local restaurants can't get it right, the key is the Ribeye and the Cheez Whiz, if you veer off that course it won't taste right. In answer to Alan's review I beg to differ! I just watched a show that followed the making of these great sandwiches at both Pat's & Geno's and guess what?! The Provolone was added after the fact because of customer requests, not the Authentic cheese!!! Pat invented the sandwich and uses Cheez Whiz -- not slamming Alan but I got it from the source so do try the sandwich, you'll absolutely LOVE it! I use butter because that adds a depth of flavor you don't get with the olive oil. Use what you like!
