This is a fusion of Middle Eastern and South Asian tastes. You haven't lived till you've tried it. It goes good as veggie or naan or pita bread dip, or even in spoonfuls straight from the bowl. We like this recipe so much we have to triple it to make sure it isn't all eaten right after being put out.

Ground black pepper may be substituted for the black pepper, but white is not visible. Spread on sandwiches or dip with crudites.
Taken from Grandma's Kitchen, posted for safekeeping. To make stiff peaks quickly with whipping cream, chill the mixing bowl and the beaters before beating the cream. Also, make sure the whipping cream is will chilled.
My piano teacher showed me how to make these a couple years ago. There's nothing better than sitting in the kitchen while these are baking and cleaning out the bowl the batter was in; you're going to need a big bowl. These are also good cut open and filled with jelly.
