Every morning I have a big mug of black tea with a little sugar and milk in it. A huge fan of green tea ice cream, I set out to turn my morning beverage of choice into a frosty treat. This recipe is based on David Lebovitz's amazingly delicious vanilla ice cream recipe.
HOLY COW, this sandwich is marvelous. I'm only 3 bites into this amazing creation, and I had to come post this recipe lest I forget it. You can vary in any way you like from the original recipe, but the most important part is the cream cheese spread! (Do note that the measurements are approximate, as I didn't measure while inventing this sandwich, and adjust accordingly.)
I can't recall where I picked this one up, but this recipe is a regular in my arsenal of impressive dishes. It's so easy to make, and unreasonably delicious. My stomach is growling just thinking about it. I usually serve my chicken over a bed of rice cooked in chicken broth and seasoned with rosemary.
I was sifting idly through ingredients in my fridge one morning, when Divine Inspiration or something like it struck, and I came up with the most winning combination of ingredients, ever: Smoked Gouda and Bacon...and then I made an omlette.
You can customize it in any way you like; adding different types of cheeses, meats, vegetables, minerals...there are myriad possibilities. I like it simple.
