No, it doesn't have vodka. But you could either drink while you're cooking (good choice!), or drink while you're eating (good choice!). Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll love it paired with this spicy beef stew. Soak up the rich and spicy juices with sourdough or crusty french bread. *If you don't want it as spicy, swap out the Bloody Mary mix with equal amounts of tomato juice (V8 would work well). Or go 50/50 with tomato juice and mix. Or use tomato juice and hot sauce to your liking. Try your favorite Bloody Mary mix; the kind we had is "Bold and Spicy."* (I adapted this from a Better Homes and Gardens recipe)

This is the way we love to eat Sliders AKA "Mini Burgers." Flavorful beef is combined with goat cheese and red onion on a Hawaiian roll to make a meal that is making my mouth water as I'm typing this. We serve these with homemade Savory Sweet Potato Fries (no sugary stuff, thank you very much--all savory!) Hope you enjoy these as much as we do. **You can change the amount of seasoning for the beef and fries based on your family's tastes. We are not much for measuring our ingredients!

My husband and I have perfected the Nacho! This recipe is the result of many trials and errors, and somewhat nasty nachos. NOTE: The spice quantity added to the beef is VERY approximate; I just sprinkle on the spices until I think it tastes good. We like it spicy, and not salty, like the packaged taco seasonings. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

Creamy, garlicky, easy to make, and just oh so yummy! You can use whatever type of linguine you prefer. I've made it with plain, spinach and chive, and garlic. When not using the Garlic Linguine, I add 1 tbl of minced garlic to the green onions and broccoli. You can add chicken to make it even more heartier, and different veggies to suit your family's tastes. Don't skimp on the feta; that's what makes it tangy and delicious.

I saw this on Sunny Anderson's "Cooking For Real" on FoodNetwork. I wanted to make them to bring to a 4th of July BBQ, but didn't get to the store before it closed! I'll update the yumminess factor when I try these. They look fabulous and easy, though. I'm a sucker for cookie recipes!

I adapted a recipe from July/August 2009 Simple and Delicious to create this tasty, savory meal. So, when I made this, the only veggies I had were onions and red bell pepper. Your favorite veggies can be added for that added nutritional boost, but this recipe is really tasty without them. I added a can of kidney beans to add some heft. I think Cannelini beans would be good, too. The pasta is added dried, and cooked in the brothy boullion ( or you can substitute one 14 1/2 oz. can of beef broth) so it picks up all the yummy flavor. This was really good reheated the next day. Please enjoy!

I combined a Stuffed Jumbo Shell recipe with our favorite Manicotti recipe to make this easy cheese and spinach stuffed shell recipe. Don't be scared by the long ingredient list; it goes together quickly. Cottage cheese is an easy substitute for ricotta cheese. You can also use any spaghetti sauce you'd like, including homemade.

Yummy, moist chicken breasts covered with a mushroom soup sauce. Really easy to make on a busy weeknight. Add your favorite veggies.

    Recipe #336209

Traditional goodness perfect for breakfast or dinner. The smaller the potatoes are cut, the quicker they are to cook.

    Recipe #305561

This recipe is a part of summer for me. My grandma gave the recipe to my mom, and my mom to me, but not sure where grandma got it. This is just the recipe for the veggies (salad) on top of the hamburger. I haven't tried it on Chicken or Turkey burgers, but I can imagine it'd be really good, too. Remember the veggies need to marinate for a few hours! The cucumbers need to be sliced insanely thin, so they pick up the marinade in a few hours. Fantastic on barbecued hamburgers. (cooking time is marinading time)

This recipe was found in Raley's Extra Magazine, a grocery store chain in Northern California. We usually use a Lemon Rotisserie Chicken, but I've made it with other kinds and it's always turned out really good.

This recipe originally came from the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. My mom and grandma have been making it since I can remember. Don't skip the onion on top, even if you don't like onion; it's a subtle addition that makes the meat really yummy.

    Recipe #305470

Easy and tangy baked beans. Good as a side dish for a barbecue, or a main dish served with bread and salad. Recipe found in Quick Cooking magazine from May-June 2000.

Got this recipe from my mom. Not sure where she got it. It has a nice blend of flavors. I don't recommend using a George Foreman grill with this recipe because all of the essential yummy juices are squeezed out.

    Recipe #305342

This was found in an old Ortega brand foods cookbook. This is one of my favorites. It's really easy to make and it's soooo yummy. After the casserole is done cooking, drain the excess liquid from the pan (the liquid escapes from the chiles during cooking) or your plate will be flooded.

This is a work in progress. I need to mess around with the spices, but I had all this in the fridge, and I didn't want to go to the store. I'm thinking next time I might use white wine as a stock. Let me know if anyone has any other ideas! The veggies were good together and the orzo added a nice buttery flavor. **The amounts of spices are guessed.

    Recipe #305303

My husband bought Baby Octopus on a whim and I couldn't find a recipe that I wanted to try. So, we tried sauteing them in garlic and herbs. They turned out really good, first time cooking the little suckers, so my technique might be weird. Also, next time I might try using white wine. NOTE: I didn't measure the garlic and herbs, so what I wrote down is a very loose calculation.

    Recipe #304297

I didn't want to cook tonight, but I had a bag of Seafood Combo (the software wouldn't accept "Seafood Combo" in the ingredient list. It's a bag of different kinds of frozen cut-up seafood, like mussels, calamari and shrimp) in the freezer, so I created this yummy dish. It's really easy to make. You can find bags of frozen Seafood Combo in the freezer section with the other frozen meats. I used mushroom Alfredo.

This recipe is so yummy with A LOT of shredded cheese on top. I'm the "add a dash of this or that" kind of cook, so the measurements on the spices are VERY approximate. You can also add more or less mushrooms to your liking. This is my favorite dish at the moment to make and eat!

    Recipe #277001

My husband loves these sandwiches. They are so meaty, cheesy and wonderful. Best paired with Baked Basil Fries. Found both recipes in Quick Cooking. Tips: if meat is fatty, make sure to drain after cooking; meat is good even if only marinated for a few hours; extra yummy with deli mustard on rolls.
