I know I know.....'Saudi' and 'Champagne' are 2 words that do not go together, but this drink is totally non-alcoholic, a popular favourite in Saudi Arabia and featured on the menu of every restaurant here. This can be made and served immediately but I prefer it to be allowed to stand before adding the perrier water so that the flavors of mint, orange and apple are allowed to infuse well to give you this lovely refreshing drink.

    Recipe #426490

This is a traditional Indian drink meant for the hot summer months.Though there will be a slight change in flavor you can substitute sugar for jaggery if you cant find the latter. Happy sipping!

    Recipe #307476

Finger food that can be made in a jiffy

    Recipe #264383

I saw this on an episode of 'Giada at Home', and later searched and found the recipe on the food network website. The ingredients are very basic but what a creative way of using puff pastry instead of regular bread for your sandwich! (Note: Placing another baking sheet over the puff pastry in step 2 is vital as it prevents the pastry from 'puffing' up and gives it a firmer, graham cracker like structure.)

    Recipe #423200

A healthy recipe from the book 'Magic Spices' by Donna Weihofen that I have slightly tweaked. The dry mustard in the dressing really adds flavor to this dish, can be eaten as a light meal too...

    Recipe #264398

Got this from one of the "Good Housekeeping" issues. Another wonderful way of incorporating broccoli into our diet.

    Recipe #256489

I got this recipe from my friend Asma and I love it. A one-dish meal that is easy to assemble and very scrumptious. The masoor/ lentils used here are the whole unsplit ones that are brown in colour. You could use puy lentils too.

    Recipe #308409

These are so simple to make and so tasty with just the right blend of sweet and savory. Courtesy eatingwell.com

    Recipe #326743

A lovely citrussy variation on our regular fruit salad. This is courtesy of "Southern Living". Cooking time is the time required for chilling.

    Recipe #298944

This has been my favorite dessert since childhood and I would polish off half of the whole pot every time mom made it. Use the whole, brown, non-sulfured variety of apricots and not the bright orange California dried apricots that you get at the local grocer's or the taste will vary. The quantity of sugar I have given is approximate. You may adjust according to your taste. Prep. time does not include time for soaking.

    Recipe #308660

Great for spreading on a crostini or in a sandwich with sliced hard-boiled eggs.

    Recipe #328839

From Alice Waters' "The Art of Simple Cooking". Prep. time does not include freezing time.

    Recipe #339165

Strawberry season's here so I thought I'd share one of my favorite strawberry dessert recipes. Prep time does not include time required to set.

    Recipe #424658

This is from the 'Pasta Perfect' cookbook. A very tasty pasta dish using cheese and spinach ravioli, I personally prefer to use less cream than called for in the recipe.

    Recipe #423898

    A healthy breakfast option

    Recipe #259963

A delightful recipe from marthastewart.com The olives lend the salad a wonderfully intense flavour. I often have it as a meal in itself.

    Recipe #259968

A simple and easy recipe for a banana cake

    Recipe #257725

I'm currently on a quest for healthy salads and dressings that I can incorporate into my everyday menu. I found this in one of my old issues of Cosmo. About 14 calories per tbsp, it's a really healthy alternative to mayonnaise.

    Recipe #269776

I came across this recipe on waitrose.com.It is a Lebanese dish called rishta bi.The pasta is usually cooked in the same water as the lentils, giving an earthy colour and flavour. I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but it does sound absolutely delicious and healthy too....

    Recipe #260162

A super simple delicious sauce that's healthy too! Adapted from one of Richard Florczak's recipes.
