This is a super simple quick recipe to make, it tastes wonderful and the sauce goes really well with the chicken. We all enjoyed it very much and both my son and husband thought it was moreish.

    Recipe #311781

This is a simple quick meal to prepare a great one if your late in from work or you don't want to fuss and you end up with a great tasting meal in the end. I served this along with other Asian dishes we also had vegetable fried rice and ribs. If making as is it would well with just planes steamed rice or what I think is nicer is egg fried rice, but take your pick. I usually top with sliced green onions but I had used them all and hadn't realised so I have listed it in the ingredients below anyway.

    Recipe #319921

I do lot's of Asian nights be it Chinese, Thai or Japanese. I vary between meat and fish sometimes I mix both. This time I just made all fish, I like to do a few dishes for variety, instead of just one dish for a meal. I made Chinese cod, onion and ginger crab with egg sauce and braised halibut with ginger and green onion.

    Recipe #263404

This is a quick and easy meal to do, it tastes great and is a nice light meal. Please note: I cooked this in a wok so if you are using a large frying pan, cooking times will vary as woks get very hot. I love mussels, but please make sure you do remove beards and scrub thoroughly as you will end up with a not nice fish smell in your food if you don't. I find if your mussels are very dirty with lots of barnacles on them, than you can not remove, it is often better to boil them separately and add at the end to warm. This way any grit or dirt that remains, ends up in your water not your stir-fry I have done this before, my mussels I bought yesterday were very clean so this was not necessary.

    Recipe #304344

I made this one from my Philadelphia cook book and all my guests loved it.. I have listed the chopped cashews in the dipping sauce as part of the ingredients but I didn't add them. Posting here for safe keeping as with all my moving as of late I do not have all my cookbooks and recipes that I have collected over the years.

    Recipe #459112

You can make this with snapper or bream and it works equally as well, I have made with both, last night I made it with bream. Banana leaves a great way to cook fish especially if cooking the fish on the BBQ, I cooked it in the oven last night. I served this with Asian style vegetables and I cooked 2 fish,of about 750g a piece to serve 4 or if your fish are smaller you can cook 4 individual fillets. Cooking times are based on my oven temperature, not a BBQ and you will have to adjust if doing them on the BBQ, mine gets very hot and cooks about 5-10 Min's quicker on the BBQ, if cooking on the BBQ, cook with a covered BBQ, using indirect heat.

    Recipe #311367

I have not made this but it looks good and am posting it here for safe keeping. The recipe calls for using scallops with the roe removed but if you like that then I think it would not take away from the dish.

    Recipe #460067

This was an experiment that turned out really well, I had a pork loin I wanted to use up and wanted to create something a little bit different than how I usually stuff my pork loins. I had most of these ingredients on hand and had to use a lot up, so this is what I decided to do with them. I think it turned out very well with the pork being tender and juicy and the sauce poured over at the end was a nice touch. I served mine over stir-fried vegetables, but you could also serve this with noodles or steamed rice.

    Recipe #322713

I had some prawns I wanted to use and there was not enough to make a meal out of so I decided to stuff some chicken breasts with them. These were really easy for me as the rest of the ingredients was all stuff I had in my fridge. I served ours over asparagus with a hollandaise sauce to accompany.

    Recipe #378473

I love experimenting with different stuffings for chicken. Here's another combination I've come up with that works really well.

    Recipe #261200

Hot bubbly, crunchy topped, cod bake with shrimp.

    Recipe #256864

Here is a recipe for baked whole fish. It is very easy and the fish comes out beautifully tender and moist and flakes easily away from the bone. Feel free to make with fillets if you prefer, just note that the cooking time will be less.

    Recipe #265686

If you like veal, mushrooms and goats cheese, you will love this recipe all the flavours that come through are wonderful and the goats cheese on top really finishes this off in my opinion. It was sort of an experiment the other night and I think it turned out gorgeous. I served mine with celeriac mash and spinach with bacon, onion and red pepper, so just serve with your favourite side.

    Recipe #317170

I haven't made this one but it looks really quick and easy and would make a great lunch or late afternoon meal. Times are estimates. Prep time includes marinating time.

    Recipe #426455

This is another low carb recipe it is a lot higher in the carbs than some of the recipes I have been posting lately but it is then again a lot lower in fat content too. I usually make this with blue eye cod but any kind of cod would be fine, Blue eyed cod is also known as deepsea trevalla, blue eye trevalla and blue eye. I love the taste of this fish to me it makes for very good eating. This recipe works out to be about 25.7g Carbohydrates, 45.3g protein and 4.8g total fat of which 1.4g is saturated fat.

    Recipe #336580

Fillet of beef with mushrooms, paté cooked in pastry. served with a madeira truffles sauce.

    Recipe #254812

This is a great hearty, warming stew ideal for the coming winter months. When the weather starts to get cold I love nothing more than stews and casseroles whether beef, chicken or fish they make great comfort food. I served mine with broccoli florets as we are trying to eat lower carb in the evening.

    Recipe #337561

I know it is not the time of year for BBQing but I had my niece over last night and she loves her hamburgers, so I made beef and chicken burgers.

    Recipe #275165

I decided to have a treat the other night and buy some nice thick fillet steaks as we have not had a good steak in awhile. With all the food prices going up so dramatically this one-two time a week enjoyed cut of beef has now become one-two time a month affair, here's hoping food prices come down again soon. This is a simple recipe that pairs well with steak and does not require lots of effort, feel free to serve this with a cheaper cut of beef or with your favourite cut.

    Recipe #306893

This is a really easy way to prepare steak for something a little bit different, with hardly any effort. I used beef fillet cut in this recipe, but rib-eye or sirloin could be used instead. The relish can also be made a day ahead of time, stored in the fridge and reheated just before serving. I have listed the amounts for the veg I chose to serve with this but feel free to serve with what you want.
