    Recipe #236736

This recipe comes from one of Mum's old local cookbooks and was contributed by Mrs Murray Taylor. Mrs Taylor had a pretty good reputation as a cook and these are very quick and easy. I loved them as a kid and my kids happily demolish them too. The recipe is very forgiving too. I've used the sizes of my local tins of condensed milk and packets of biscuits and its basically one of each. These are also excellent if you are asked to bring a plate anywhere. They disappear in no time!

    Recipe #234098

Maggie Beer is one of my favourite Aussie cooks and living in the Barossa she uses a lot of verjuice. But where do you find the stuff? While it is readily available in Europe, it can be a bit hard to find around these parts. If you have access to freshly grown grapes, here's how to make your own.If they are currently in season, freeze them until you need to make the verjuice! The grapes here are the green variety used in sultana production. whatever you use the final result should be tart not sweet.
