Healthy little dish that tastes so good. Kids love to be able to make their own! There are a few recipes on here that are similar but not exactly the same. My kids would make this for me on mothers day. Awww, the memories.
This is a quick easy meal for supper. I have added a tomato sliced and seeded and that was really good too. You can season the pork while sauteing but its not necessary. Of course the taste will vary depending on what barbecue sauce you use. I like this with thick and spicy barbecue sauce. Something different and kids like to wrap their own! I also have used chicken and it is equally just as good!
I stopped buying those seasoning packets. This is so easy to make and I bet you have all the ingredients on hand. I usually double or triple the recipe to have on hand for quicker meals. Store tightly covered in a plastic container. Recipe makes enough for 1 pound of seasoned hamburger.
This is a good alternative to your regular pasta. I have used hidden valley ranch brand and others, all were great. I do like the fiesta ranch the best in this recipe. This is a recipe that comes together quickly. You could add warm cooked chicken chunks to this recipe for protein in the meal.
My best friends mother made this for her family as they grew up, and it has become a staple at her house. I thought it sounded a little bit weird, but tried it anyway, yummy comfort food! I saw another recipe similar to this one, but this one has lots more spices....I know it sounds like a weird concoction, but it really is good!.
I made this recipe up when I was in a hurry to make dinner one night and it went over like gangbusters. I make this when I am really rushed to put something on the table fast. It goes well with mac and cheese. (boxed is just fine) :) It is one of my hubby's favorite meals. It can be made with frozen or thawed kielbasa, have used both and it works just fine. I have been out of onions and bell peppers and have used a bag of frozen veggies. (The one I used had broccoli and other veggies in it, and it was equally as good too)
Not sure how southwestern authentic this recipe really is, since its one of my mothers and she was raised in WI and lived her adult life in MN. :) But it is tasty. I have added stew meat on several occasions and browned ground beef a time or two and that is delicious also. I have made it without the olives and mushrooms and it was just as tasty. I have even added some drained mexican corn to it for some more color. So as you can see, you can change it up quite a bit! Have fun and hope you enjoy!
This is a wonderful dip! It is from TOH cookbook. cooks who care edition. Recipe says its from Patricia Moore, Toledo, Ohio. Really tasty!!! Her recipe said to use lower fat or fat free, but all I had was the real deal and it was great.
This is one of my moms version of baked penne. I have changed it some just to add a veggie after tasting one very similar at my local store. Now its a staple in the dish at my house. She also has started to add in some spinach.
Very easy recipe for fried bread used to make Indian Tacos. OR you can eat them with butter, or add honey or jelly! You can also slice in half and use as hamburger buns. Many possibilities. Sometimes I use garlic salt and eat them with spaghetti. They make great dippers for chili too! To make the indian tacos you just put your favorite taco ingredients on top and enjoy!
