I've been toying with this recipe for a while now....didn't have sour cream to put on a baked potato so I started experimenting & this is what I came up with...goes great on any veggie or throw on a baked potato with a bit of shredded cheddar cheese....oh boy! Had it on steamed broccoli & my bf said it was the best broccoli he'd ever had!

if you like mexican food you'll love this dish! i learned how to make enchilladas this way from my mom who learned from my grandma. i usually make a whole tray & then my boyfriend takes leftovers to work & brags to everyone about how good it is!! another traditional way to serve this is for breakfast with a fried egg on top (omg, heaven!) i usually make the full fat version but see the note at the bottom for a low fat version that still tastes great!

    Recipe #314203

Every Christmas my mom makes tamales and pozole and I can't have either without her red chili. So simple and so much better than canned, but be careful when blending because this can be messy and red chili stains!

    Recipe #314038

the key is to start with cold rice...after that its hard to mess up!! (unless you over do it with the soy sauce) i learned the base of this great recipe from my boyfriend and tweeked it a bit.

    Recipe #306615

okay so this isnt really what i would consider a dip but i couldn't figure out what else to call it...tomato, feta salsa?? i have no clue. anyways, its a great appetizer & so easy to throw together.

    Recipe #304748

i'm not sure where my sister found this recipe but its so good i stole it & call it my own!! she doesnt use zaar so she'll never know!! LOL!

    Recipe #302375

i learned this recipe watching my mom make it & she never used measuring cups just a big spoon to pile it all together, so forgive me if the measurements aren't quite exact as i dont use measuring cups when making this either. the only changes i made to my mom's recipe was to add a can of chopped olives, a bit of garlic & dill & i now use dill relish so i don't have to dice up a bunch of pickles...besides i think the pimento in the relish gives it something extra (when using the relish, dont bother draining the juice out, it gives it a tang that my family dies for). i dont use celery because i dont like the taste but if you want a little crunch to your salad you can dice up some cucumber after scraping out the seeds.

    Recipe #301834

i needed a rice recipe to go with some kabobs that i was making and i decided to alter my spanish rice recipe to have a more asian feel....this is what i threw together & i have to say, it came out really good!!

    Recipe #300575

burger night just got a whole lot better!! UPDATE: i made this again taking luvs 2 cook's advice & adjusted the seasonings...we just love these burgers!! made them a few times this summer, even tried diced green chili instead of salsa...i think i like that even better!! so i made the changes below...

    Recipe #299998

i got most of this recipe off a show called diner's drive-in's & dives but i did add some extra ingredients to put my own spin on the recipe. feel free to make any changes you see fit, as i believe recipes don't always have to be set in stone.

    Recipe #299152

such a fun way to cook a chicken its almost comical, not to mention it comes out so moist & tender. i found a beer can holder at target for 10 bucks which is well worth it since the fluid inside the beer can will start to boil & can easily knock your bird over...trust me, i speak from experience.
