This was another of my submissions for this years National Peanut Festival recipe contest. Unfortunately, this one didn't win anything, but it's still a tasty easy recipe. *Note, make sure you bake the crust part long enough...my first batch I didn't, and it came out very doughy tasting.
This is the closest recipe I can find to replicating the Kentucky Pie at McAlister's Deli. This stuff is absolutely to die for! It's great if you serve it like they do at McAlister's...warm, drizzled with chocolate syrup, topped with whipped cream, and served with vanilla ice cream.
I got this recipe from Las Casas restaurant in Temple, TX. They claim to be famous for these White Wings...I'd never heard of them til I moved to this area, but I will say the White Wings are outstanding!!
This is the most FANTASTIC pound cake. It's really dense and moist, not dry like alot of them I've tasted. The recipe comes from my mom's friend Andrea; I've been begging for this recipe since I first tasted one of her pound cakes about 8 years ago, and my mom FINALLY got the recipe for me. I'm sure it's similar to some of the cream cheese pound cake recipes already posted here.
I love chicken, and this is a favorite of mine. It's a little time consuming wrapping everything up, but the results are so worth it. Serve with rice, noodles, pasta, it doesn't matter...the sauce tastes fine with any.
