Granola with vanilla yogurt has become a breakfast favourite around here. This version is maybe a bit too sweet for everyday, but it makes a very special treat!

    Recipe #505196

While I'm off on maternity leave, I've been missing the spinach salad that I order when I go out to the local pub for lunch with my work friends. I couldn't think of a good reason not to make it for myself at home, though, since it's a simple and delicious meal or side dish. Add some sliced grilled chicken if you like. I entered quantities for one serving, but it's easy to upsize. Making your own bacon bits and dressing is great, but it's also delicious with storebought! (Cooking time is the time to hard boil the egg!)

    Recipe #459096

From kraftcanada.com, a delicious cheesecake recipe that reminds me of my favourite childhood ice cream - my sister and I always saved our favourite flavour for last! I made a 7" cheesecake using about 60% of the recipe written below. Prep time does not include the 4 hours to refrigerate prior to serving.

    Recipe #419073

My mother-in-law's stuffing recipe. An interesting variation from how my mother makes hers. This should be put together the day before you plan on cooking your turkey. This makes enough stuffing for a pretty large turkey - I used about 2/3 of the recipe to stuff my 5 kg (11 lb) bird.

    Recipe #418996

From chef Michael Smith (via www.foodtv.ca), a very basic truffle recipe that can be customized in a zillion ways. I find truffles are really quite simple to make, but pretty time consuming. Most definitely worth it for special occasions! Plain truffles are delicious, but try adding peppermint or liqueur flavourings (such as Kahlua or Grand Mamier) to yours. Then, coat them in chocolate and decorate them with your favourite topping. The combinations and variations are endless, and entirely up to you! Cook time does NOT include time to chill. Truffles can be stored in a covered container in the fridge for a couple of weeks. I've had no problems freezing them, either!

    Recipe #381153

Another favourite by my father-in-law. I spent an afternoon with him learning to make this, but I'm still not certain I can duplicate it! It is a simple dish that reheats nicely, but also time consuming to prepare. It's well worth the effort, though! Omit the ground beef, if you prefer.

    Recipe #366857

A very fresh and citrus-y beverage!

    Recipe #346375

I was off to preheat the barbecue for Recipe #174159, but it turned out that we were all out of propane. I needed to improvise something quickly - we had places to go! No problem. Here is my quick and easy solution.

    Recipe #334203

Here's a relatively quick and easy Eggs Benny recipe from scratch (no packaged Hollandaise sauce!) that Regis learned from "Live with Regis and Kelly" guest Eric Ripert. What always turned me off making these in the past was how involved the instructions seemed... after all, it can be difficult to follow all those complex directions first thing in the morning! I tried this one myself, and the instructions are clear and simple with delicious results!

    Recipe #318215

I saw this done on a Tostitos commercial, but when I went to the Tostitos web site, I couldn't find a specific recipe... so I made it up! I tried it with 3 cloves of garlic and it was VERY garlicy (I liked it!), but I would suggest less if you're looking for something mild.

    Recipe #305307

I thought this came from Kraft Canada, but I can't find it to confirm... Regardless, it is a family favourite! Make sure to COVER the potatoes for the first 45 minutes, or else you could end up with a horrible mess!

    Recipe #299848

I came up with these to use up some leftover ingredients in my fridge, and they turned out so well that my husband felt the need to eat NINE of them in one sitting!! This could be served as an appetizer, or as a main dish.

    Recipe #297763

A healthy and nutritious summery side dish. This has been a hit at potlucks and campsites as well as family dinners - just scale the recipe to the number of servings you need. Quick and easy, and great for leftovers as well! Add or change ingredients as you prefer - halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, drained canned corn... even add some tuna, chicken, or ham. Play with your favourite flavours in this versatile recipe!

    Recipe #295512

This is one of my favourite pasta recipes. It can easily be adapted to your particular tastes by changing the herbs, the pasta, or the cheeses. but I like it as it's posted here!

    Recipe #295385

From License to Grill, with Rob Rainford. This is a somewhat sophisticated grilled salad dish that takes a little time to prepare. Prep time includes marinating time and chill time.

    Recipe #293813
