This recipe came from my sister-in-law and is a great side dish for any barbecue. Quick and easy to put together and you can adjust the heat to your liking. We like spicy so I use Stubb's Hot Barbecue sauce for this recipe.

    Recipe #408516

Boudro's is a Texas Bistro on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. They wheel out a cart and make this guacamole fresh at your table. It is the best I have ever had. You can skip the roasting of the tomato and peppers if you would like to save time and it still tastes great. I also seem to remember them adding chopped garlic when we were there because I think the waitor joked about it, but it was not listed in the recipe...I always add a couple of cloves.

    Recipe #406110

I got this recipe from my mom years ago. It is one of those very simple recipes that tastes as if you put a lot of time and effort into making. I serve it over mashed potatos or rice (my mom used to sometimes serve it over toast). The sauce is rich and creamy and you will want to serve with bread to sop up every drop! Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #318020

I named this dish after my dear friend and neighbor's pet potbelly pig. His name is Basil Bacon and I thought if I ate enough of this dish, I would certainly start to resemble him :) When your ready to splurge on a rich and comforting dish, give it a try.

    Recipe #430325

A harmonious blend of sweet and tart (with a little heat), in this simple, refreshing and healthy chicken salad. I developed this recipe after trying several other versions. Can be served in your favorite wrap or on a bed of salad greens with avacado, tomatoes, etc.; or try it on top of your favorite crackers. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #417476

This recipe is from Secrets of Fat Free Cooking by Sandra Woodruff. Layer turkey, spinach leaves, pepper strips, and artichoke hearts over cream cheese on French bread, and create a memorable appetizer. It is a great dish to take to any gathering. Best if made ahead and allowed to chill for several hours or overnight. I have made it (not so low-fat) using onion and chive flavored cream cheese and I have also made it by adding 1/2 teaspoon of ranch dressing mix to the cream cheese instead of Italian seasoning. You can also use marinated arthichoke instead of canned. Delicious!

    Recipe #409007

My mom's recipe that she finally measured and wrote down the ingredients. You can't get any more Southern than this! Patties can be fried in bacon grease or vegetable oil, or a combination of both.

    Recipe #406046

This is my sister's recipe and it is simple and delicious. A rich, creamy soup that is easy to throw together. You'll want to have some nice crusty French bread on hand to sop up every drop!

    Recipe #323912

I developed this recipe after trying many varieties of Tortilla Soups in numerous Mexican restaurants around town (Austin, TX). I just couldn't find what I was looking for, so I made this up myself. It is my most requested dish from family and friends. I always make a batch when someone is under the weather and it has replaced chicken noodle as our ultimate comfort soup. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #318085

This is the best green bean dish I have ever had! The mixture of onion, bell pepper, celery, tomatoes, and cheese blends so nicely with the green beans. I got the recipe from an friend's mother over 20 years ago and she got the recipe from her mother who had a local cooking show in the southwest Louisana/ southeast Texas area. You can taste the southern Creole influence in this dish. You won't be disappointed!
