A different twist on pesto. Basil sometimes isn't what you want

    Recipe #335812

It's summer folks & time for slaw! This is a wonderful creamy coleslaw with an enjoyable taste. The initial slating step leaves a crisp cabbage and prevents the dressing from pooling in the bowl. Substituting low-fat or fat-free as desired for the appropriate ingredients will make it more diet friendly if you wish

    Recipe #368187

How interesting a simple little mushroom dish can be when you use exotic varieties, like chanterelles and lobster mushrooms. Be creative!

    Recipe #269624

A interesting change of pace from the tuna salad default. you *must* use Old Bay though Hon!

    Recipe #257595

Nothing says Bawlmer, Murlin like crab cakes Hon! This is my take on a regional favourite. Based on a Cook's Illustrated recipe I don't pretend these would be considered "authentic" Especially if you use any of the various herbs I suggest. After all. I'm a DamnYankee transplant. However, they are good.

    Recipe #299600

A simple, flavourful dish with multiple layers of taste complexity. Try different flavoured oils

    Recipe #326282

    Recipe #396101

All the essential food groups in this one :-) You can also finish with a small amount of crushed peanuts or peanut butter chips.

    Recipe #273585

    Recipe #253596

    Recipe #256975

A blueberry filled dessert bar with the consistency of Fig Newtons.

    Recipe #353202

Source: Betty Crocker's cookbook. This is always a favorite and pretty simple. I've cooked this for years every year following our Thanksgiving turkey gorge. After the big meal, I cook the bird down in a huge stew pot to get all the meat off the bone (skimming fat off as needed). Then I add some veggies and lentils to make turkey soup. Any leftovers from that can go into the pot pie. 3 different ways to eat leftover turkey, and nothing gets wasted!

    Recipe #281670

A Depression era recipe that was & is a favorite of my girls. Posting in honor of the grandmother they never knew

    Recipe #335802

A rich, creamy lasagna that has different flavors than the usual. Extraordinarily easy to make also!

    Recipe #362104

From Parade. An awesome & simple cake! I like to use blueberry preserves inside (Trader Joe's rock my world) and finish it with a simple lemon glaze

    Recipe #399296

Big, bold tastes combined. And the beer helps taking the sting out of chopping the onions :) Use a good, full-flavored ale or Belgian beer for this one.

    Recipe #275174

A fall flavor treat! The brining of the tenderloins keeps this often overcooked & dry meat tender

    Recipe #396282

An interesting savory taste. Well worth the time & effort
