My mum made these biscuits, and they are delicious. I like them with the cream cheese filling from recipe 24672, and topped with strawberries and the whipped cream from recipe 410125 (filling, no mint). I do not recommend substituting margarine for butter, but it can be done in a pinch. I use low fat sour cream. I sometimes form 8 rough balls, flattened instead of rolling the dough and cutting rounds.
I have had this banana bread recipe for a very long time. I don't remember where I got it, but I love it. It makes a sweeter bread, and is lighter in colour than typical banana bread. Kids love these as muffins (see option 2).
I found this recipe in the Hershey's Chocolate Lovers cookbook. I've had it for many years, but just tried the recipe this year and it is FANTASTIC!! Cake is very moist - perfect for guests. For the oil, I use canola and it is perfect.
