This is an excellent recipe for "what to do with all that deer meat" and is also good done with only ground beef, as many ranchers end up with alot of hamburger after the steaks are gone. The 1# of hamburger is necessary as venison, if ground lean, tends to be very dry. I can't keep this stuff in the house--my family loves it and it is very low fat snack. I got this from a former president of the ND Cattlewomen.

    Recipe #43611

This is so similar to my "homemade" stuffing, I decided to try it & it rocks. I chopped up my giblets and sauteed them along with the onions & celery and included them. Beats packing it into the bird! You can double for a large crock pot.

    Recipe #78124

This is a nice switch from "red" chili, and really tastes good on a cold day. It can be made with leftover turkey, so keep that in mind with Thanksgiving coming!

    Recipe #45823

Great change from the old standby, and it doesn't encourage salmonella quite as quickly at a picnic! My husband begs for this as soon as the fresh ingredients are available! The tangy dressing is so good!

    Recipe #70230

I have tinkered with this, adding a little spicier pepper, but all love it, and it's a no brainer to make because you don't have to brown the meat. Got the basics from the "Best of the Best of Great Plains" cookbook.

    Recipe #79948

I adapted this from a recipe on the Robin Hood site, makers of Red River cereal, which by the way, is an EXCELLENT high fiber, tasty hot cereal. It called for cranberries, didn't have any, coped. My 3 year old grandson loves these "muppins". Very moist, tasty.

    Recipe #107835

Had I not eaten this first, then read the recipe, I doubt I would have tried it--who lays awake at night dreaming this stuff up?

    Recipe #261301
