This is a low-sodium, low calorie, low cholesterol approach to a classic southern style dish. I enjoy cooking with little to no butter or oil - and this recipe follows that guideline. It's got some excellent spice, delicious ingredients and will wow a crowd (they'll never even know how good it is for them)! Feel free to modify the level of spiciness according to your taste and use more water if you prefer a gumbo with more liquid.

    Recipe #352464

This is my new take on Chicken Noodle Soup! I've added sweet potatoes and mushrooms to give it more pizzaz and much needed nutrients. It takes a little bit of time to make, but your palate will thank you in the end! You can also make a batch of whipped sweet potatoes and serve the soup atop that. I might try that on my next go-round. Yummy! Give it a shot and let me know what you think!

    Recipe #348947

A healthy and fresh take on a favorite take-out dish! This recipe gets rid of the excess oil and adds great flavor with fresh ginger, lime and loads of yummy shrimp! I got this recipe from Martha Stewart's "Food Everyday" magazine. Helpful tip: I found it easier to cook all of this in my electric skillet.
