Are you as tired of all the cream cheese and sour cream dishes as I am this holiday season? Looking for something LIGHT? Try this recipe! No cream cheese, sour cream or mayo in sight! This recipe comes from the Light & Tasty magazine. I had to post it because it is FANTASTIC! I loved it! You should try it if you need a break (like I did) and want something light! This does the trick! (I sometimes double the dressing!)
Oh WOW! I sure hope somebody tries these! I had them at a Christmas get together and HAD to get the recipe to share here! They are really good! A nice little appetizer and something different than the usual smokie links in BBQ sauce! Try them, they are really good!
This is a GREAT cake that can easily go to a pot luck or picnic or just about anywhere else too! It is so good and everyone LOVES it! My family enjoys it and so do all my co-workers. It tastes like a peanut butter cup! It is a MUCH requested recipe. I promise it will be a much requested recipe at your house too if you give it a try!
This is a great way to get those omega 3 fatty acids, the kind that come from salmon and other fish. This recipe comes from "Veggie Life" a vegetarian magazine. I enjoy this dressing on plain baked potatoes! YUM! It is also good on plain green salads of course. You can also use this over brown rice, pasta, tofu, or steamed vegetables! I really like it and hope you will too!
This recipe came from my daily newspaper. It is very good! We like to serve it with corn chips as a snack or along side tacos or enchiladas. It is also great to take on a picnic or pot luck if you add the avocado at the last minute You can easily double this recipe.
This is a great jello salad that my grandmother made one year for Thanksgiving. We have made it many times since then and it is always enjoyed by everyone. The list of ingredients may sound strange, but it truly is a great tasting little dessert. Light and sweet and fruity !
This is a *great* no-bake fruit pie that will be the hit of your next BBQ! You don't heat up the kitchen with baking and the fresh fruit flavor with ripe summer fruit really *shines!* A great dessert that will impress everyone ! ENJOY!
This is a recipe from our local newspaper. I have never made this recipe, but I wanted to try it soon and thought this is the *perfect* place to save it for use in the future! It sounds really good! Cook time reflects the chill time in this recipe.
This is a nice stuffed pepper dish that came from a friend from the past. I like this because the meat in this does not turn into a HARD meatball. Pre-cooking it first and then mixing it with the cooked rice is the secret!
This recipe came from a vegetarian cooking class I took. It makes a great substitute for meat loaf! It is NOT low fat but, it is VERY good! It makes great sandwiches the day after too. Just slice and put on some whole wheat bread with a little extra ketchup. YUMMY!
This wonderful sauce is great with pork chops, chicken, ham, or kielbasa. This can even be used with pretzels as a Dip--YUM! My favorite way of using this is to steam some baby carrots, let them cool to room temp, and dunk them right in! *So good!* There is no cooking to this at all!
This is a warm marinated salad that I make often. It is so good! I often make a meal of just this salad by itself, and some good bread. I hope you will give it a try, you won't be disappointed It is colorful as well as tasty and travels well too because of no mayo. It is best served warm or room temperature.
