A true Indigo! original, this is a creamy dip we started enjoying in our sheltered dorm days, when the going was tough and the cooking implements even tougher. Now that I'm finally out in the real world with a real kitchen (yipppeeeee!) I like making it when I need something salty and spicy to munch on... Great with tortilla chips, hot or cold! Have a "Special" Salsa Party by invite only! :)
Due to a craving (and a convenient epicurious e-recipe e-mail!), I found this recipe, which is seemingly just in time for a Jewish holiday, no? I like apples, and I like latkes, so how could they be bad? :)
This is possibly the tastiest couscous I've ever had... Very sweet and rich, great for breakfast or as an interesting side. You can put in any kind of dried fruit you'd like - my vegetarian room mate loved this especially as a great alternative to plain couscous, and my mom (the diabetic) loved it with Splenda!
Another tempting recipe I found trolling epicuirous. Wanted to stockpile it here in my Zaar cookbook! Please let me know what you think - I love corn pudding! You can also use Splenda in place of the sugar, still yummy!

I had jerk chicken for the first time from a restaurant called "Flames" here in Boston, and, as is seemingly my mission nowadays, I wanted to find a way to make it at home. This is a recipe I've tweaked to my own personal tastes, but be warned, it is very VERY speecy spicy! So you may want to have some rice or fruit nearby to quench the FLAMES! I used my little Foreman grill, and the chicken turned out perfectly!
Deviled eggs are really at the top of my food chain - I mean, they are quite tasty! Among my various cravings, these spicy eggs are a great snack and will keep in the fridge for a while! I usually sprinkle a little cayenne or Old Bay instead of paprika, but then again, I'm a fan of the heat! Some ingredients are very much optional to taste, but I really like the combo!
This was my first try at making meatloaf, and boy, was I suprised at how good this was! I have been craving it ever since, and it made so much, I froze two extra loaves for later! Yummy yummy yummy! (I also love love garlic, so you can add less if it's too much for you!) It's very moist and flavorful!!!
You can soak up some of the grease beforehand if you place slices of bread in the loaf pan before the meat goes in, but I found that it wasn't too bad, and I like the juices!
My obsession with tuna really started at Tealuxe, the nummiest teahouse in Boston! This is my own special recipe; I really think the flavors are strong and the texture is satisfying. *Please note, the amount of mayo could be much more or less to taste, I really just throw in as much creaminess as I feel for at the time...
You can eat it alone, in a pita, or like a tuna melt, it is too good!
Still planning for Thanksgiving with the fam, I found this recipe on epicurious, and wanted to try it. I love (love LOVE) cherry pie, and this one is great! This has a very distinct flavor! You can find Morello cherries at Trader Joes, or at some online shops.
This is possibly my most favorite food. It is spicy, succulent, and comforting - down to the very last linguine noodle! I've had many versions of this, and sometimes leave out the mussels, since I don't always like their taste/texture. You can also find canned clams, but you should really wash them thoroughly, as they will be very salty!
Now I'm really trying to find some Diabetic friendly recipes for my mom this Thanksgiving, so I'd like some help in judging this one, also found at epicurious. I've put Splenda in place of brown sugar, but it could easily be exchanged for the same amount of real brown sugar!

This is a healthier version of a New Orleans classic, using brown rice and a lean ham. You can also choose to use the chicken instead of the andouille, but I like it spicy, so I'll keep it! Again, I found this on epicurious, and ended up loving it!! You may want to add more rice, as this will be rather saucy, but it's up to you!

Trying to eat better, I've found this spinach recipe - very simple, and very good for you! Try to use your best olive oil, and make sure you use fresh spinach!
You can also add a but of salt, paremsan, or your favorite nuts!
