Using the crock pot is my saving grace. I forget to take meat out of the freezer. No worries. I have added extra mushrooms or used different soup mixes. My goodness, the ol' crock pot is my staple these days.
Over the years, my husband told me why are you using any kind of sauce on them? He is right why? So for the past eight years or so, I have only used salt and pepper or what ever at the time I had a taste for when I grilled those ribs.
This is just like Meat loaf without the fat and worry of that dumb "Mad Cow" thingy. I really don't worry about the "Mad Cow" scare but my southern family seems to Not want to eat beef lately. So, when the mighty hunter insists on eating the deer meat I gotta do what I can to make the family happy.
I was looking for something to make with all these eggs. I borrowed something from Tish, Stella Mae, and several more that has egg salads at Recipe*zaar. I can't seem to follow just one recipe. So, I came up with a twist.
On Saturdays my daddy made breakfast, he was famous for coming up with strange things. Now years later, my family loves to eat this for breakfast or dinner. My daughter would not eat anything unless it had cheese so she use to call it cheese rice. You can add just about anything to this easy easy dish.
I cut out recipes and stick them here and there, I rediscovered this one when I was cleaning out one of my drawers in the guest bed room. (go figure) I love asparagus and when I tried it again I really enjoyed it.
This is traditionally a New Years southern dish. Simple to make and even picky eaters seem to enjoy the dish. I never really measure my ingredients but for the sake of sharing this wonderful easy dish I will do my best…
A girl friend at work brought some to work, it was wonderful!! She told me just put whatever vegetable I have on hand and throw in the pot along with the V-8. I just used what I had in the fridge. So just use whatever, any vegetable will make this easy soup GREAT!!!
