    Granny's 7-Up Punch
    Handle

There are several recipes similar to this, but not quite the same. This is a recipe that we have always enjoyed and kept on hand for those hot summer days. When you live in the deep south, you are always wanting something cool and refreshing handy....this is our favorite.

    Recipe #451254

    Select
    Alabama Living Soup
    Handle

This recipe comes out of a local electric company magazine. We love hearty soups on the cold, damp days. This recipe fits the bill. Just place everything in the crock pot, go to work, come home to a wonderful soup. This makes a large crockpot of soup. For thicker soups you can use less broth, for thinner soups, use more. The cups measurement for the broth is up to your preference.

    Recipe #412416

    Select
    Cumin Spiced Oven Fries
    Handle

This is another of those recipes for those who are counting points. Just remember to keep the size of the potatoes down. If you use larger than medium potatoes, you could very well overeat without realizing it. 3 points per serving.

    Recipe #206315

    Select
Baked Chicken With Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce
    Handle

This is another great recipe for all of you who are counting points. The recipe calls for the sauce to be poured over the baked chicken, but my family prefers to use the sauce as a dip....it is even great with toasted bread. Now, if you are counting those WW points, this is a 4 ounce serving for 4 points....but of course, you know you can't eat that bread....darn it!!!!

    Recipe #206314

    Select
    Mom's Cajun Spaghetti
    Handle

This is the spaghetti sauce I grew up eating. While we are not considered Cajun, my father's family does have a Cajun backgroud. The measurements in this recipe are pretty much estimates, because seasoning will depend on preference, but it does give you some sort of guideline. Also, I am giving you quantities for canned and frozen veggies, but fresh can be used in equal quantities to make this even better.

    Recipe #180811

    Select
    Dewberry Jelly
    Handle

Dewberries grow wild in my part of the country. They are very similar to blackberries, but larger and sweeter. This is the my DH's favorite jelly. You can use this same recipe using blackberries or boysenberries. The times listed in the recipe DO NOT INCLUDE the straining time.

    Recipe #168721

    Select
    Scrambled Egg and Bacon Sandwich
    Handle

This is just a simple breakfast sandwich that my family loves. This sandwich can be eaten as is, or doctored any way you choose to suit your taste. Some like to add lettuce and tomato....some like to add cheese.....some prefer wheat bread...others prefer white.....just feel free to adjust any way you like!!!

    Recipe #162949

    Select
Iron Skillet Peach Upside Down Cake
    Handle

I love cooking in my iron skillet, so when I ran across this recipe while thumbing through an old cookbook, I just could not resist giving it a try.

    Recipe #159949

    Select
    Turkey Enchiladas---A Little Lighter Version
    Handle

Found this recipe in a Kraft magazine, and revamped it a little to suit our tastes.

    Recipe #153911

    Select
    Bacon Mushroom Chicken for 2
    Handle

Found this recipe in the Cooking for 2 magazine. Just made a couple of small revisions to make it work for us.

    Recipe #150338

    Select
    Citrus Terrine
    Handle

I love fruit recipes of all sorts....this is just another example of a great fruit recipe. I will admit this one takes a little time, and has to sit at least 6 hours to set, I prefer overnight, but it is well worth the effort!!!! The cook time includes the chill time. But, on the other hand, it is a recipe that a new cook can prepare without any problems. I am guessing on the size of the packet of unflavored gelatin....the type I buy comes 3 packets to a box (I use one of those packets.

    Recipe #134093

    Select
    Benne Cakes (Sesame Cookies)
    Handle

I have adjusted the flour amount due to the review stating that they flattened out. Benne cakes are a food from West Africa. Benne means sesame seeds. The sesame seeds are eaten for good luck. I am posting this recipe as a effort to broaden my recipes to include different foods from different regions of the world. Hope you will all enjoy these.

    Recipe #133874

    Select
    Pineapple Pepper Jelly
    Handle

Adding this recipe per a request on the forums. Number and type of peppers can be adjusted to suit your own personal taste.

    Recipe #133862

    Select
    Southern Seafood Gumbo
    Handle

Okay....this is not your same old timey recipe, but it is good, plus it is quick and easy to make. Great for those weeknights when you want some good old comfort foods, but don't have the long cook time that is often involved in that type cooking.

    Recipe #133776

    Select
Fresh Spinach and Couscous Salad/Feta Cheese
    Handle

I found this in a diabetic cookbooklet and thought I would share.

    Recipe #133066

    Select
Easy Cheesy Ham and Veggie Rice Casserole-Diabetic
    Handle

This recipe comes from a diabetic cookbooklet.

    Recipe #133040

    Select
Sauteed Fresh Sweet Corn and Green Onions
    Handle

I spent a few summers working in the corn fields de-tasseling corn in Illinois while in High School (many moons ago!) and learned a lot about how to pick and prepare this great inexpensive veggie. I came up with this easy recipe when my own kids got braces and couldn't eat corn on the cob. You will love this simple, and elegant side dish!

    Recipe #132305

    Select
    Egg Pie
    Handle

This is a very simple, quick and easy pie that can be made with ingredients that you have on hand.

    Recipe #129980

    Select
    Pork Chop Supper
    Handle

I love one dish meals....this is just another example of one of them.

    Recipe #128480

    Select
30 Minute One Pan Chicken Meal
    Handle

I love one dish meals. This is just another example of that fact.
