This is a wonderful recipe that allows me to get my chimichanga fix without all the fat of a deep fried restaurant chimichanga. I team it up with a salad and some rice for a delicious, speedy go-to meal that's fit for company.
These potatoes are wonderfully browned, delicious and fairly easy to prepare. They seem to compliment most everything we have paired them with. I looked at other Lemon Garlic Potato recipes and none were exactly the same, so I posted these here for safe keeping. If you try them, I surely hope you enjoy them as much as my family and I do!
My family loved my old Salisbury Steak recipe, but due to my husband's cholesterol/blood pressure I had to take a bit of time to revise all my old recipes. Believe it or not, this revision is preferred over my old recipe! I personally like it because it is chock full of vegetables (which cuts the calories and boosts the nutritional value) that my son can't shun!
Great big banana nut bread taste in a little package! I got the idea for this recipe when my husband brought home two boxes of banana cake mix because it was on sale. I took the basic cake mix cookie recipe and came up with these. They are very easy and flew off the baking sheets before they were really cool enough to handle! Try them, I am sure you will love them too.
Are you ready for the yummiest, simplest recipe for German Chocolate Sandwich Cookies? I was in the mood for some and started searching through the 'Zaar for a good recipe and I was astounded at the time and effort involved in just getting a couple into my tummy. I remembered the basic cake mix cookie, and 20 minutes later...Heaven! Enjoy these cookies while you are planning your next variation. I have made these with some many different flavor mixes and fillings, unfilled and iced they are very nice, too.
I always loved hot sandwiches as a kid. My family is not too crazy about 'mushy meat', but this has a flavor that even they love. I like to use home made white bread to turn this into open faced sandwiches. Add mashed potatoes and you have a complete comfort meal for a cold day. Leftovers get turned into a quick and easy potpie the next day. This also freezes very well! Considering the ingredients, I am sure I got the recipe idea from a soup can once upon a time. It has been so long I honestly cannot remember, though.
This is a filling soup that smells wonderful and cooks up in a hurry. It is especially good as leftovers, too. This is a great beginner cook recipe as well and can easily be modified for crockpot cooking.
These are one of the best cookies I have ever eaten. They make up easily, and they disappear fast. I make these every year when we put up our Christmas Tree. I serve them with hot Cocoa while we decorate our tree. I swear the cookies are anticipated as much as the tree!
This loaf is wonderful as either an appetizer or a main dish. I substitute the 'italian' meats for whatever strikes my mood at the moment, ham and swiss, corned beef, swiss and sauerkraut, whatever you happen to want that day. You can also add 'extras' such as hot peppers, olives or onions before braiding the loaf. I was lucky enough to find this recipe on the back of a rapid rise yeast packet years ago, and have been using it ever since.
I came up with this when my son had oral surgery and refused to even attempt to eat the soup I had on hand. Thankfully, it came out great. Now he, his sister and all their friends like it for their afterschool snack. It works well with any flavor jello or fruit you like. I also make it orange for Halloween, Green for Christmas, etc.
Delicious frosting to top cakes or cupcakes. I used this one on my cousins wedding cake, and people just raved about it. The only thing easier could be opening a tub of ready made icing. I imagine I found the recipe on the back of the marshmallow fluff but have just tinkered with it till this is the one I use.
This recipe is so easy that I can put all the ingredients on the same shelf in the refrigerator and have my husband throw it together on soccer practice nights. It can also easily be assembled and refrigerated to pop into the oven after work. I keep wondering what it would be like as leftovers, but there is never any left!
