cuban style red beans made in a crock pot. the longer you cook it the better. I dont add salt as the ham and chorizo add plenty, but if you like alot of salt,,, wait til the end of cooking and taste to see if it needs more.

    Recipe #330769

This is very rich, if you like chocolate. I found this recipe as a chocolate truffle cheesecake in Taste of Home, however I've changed it into an Oreo cheesecake. I hope you enjoy. You will use a whole package of Oreos, so no snacking : )

When I first got married my husband didn't like the chili I made (my mom's recipe), so I have changed it until I found what he likes. Now he LOVES it. About and two hours before it's done, I add cheese hot dogs to the crock pot--it does change the taste slightly, but he loves to eat chili hot dogs on butter poppy seed rolls. But if you don't like hot dogs, don't add them. I also use 1 can each of light red and dark red kidney beans for color, but you can use two cans of the same if you want. ENJOY!

From throw down with bobby flay. made it before great recipe. lost it and just found it again. putting it on here for safe keeping. I get less dumplings then recipe says but I fill it more. I also use square wonton wrappers.

this is a frosting i came up with,,, I dont like SWEET icings and most i've tried are just that. it you like sweeter you can always use semi sweet chocolate instead of dark, and or add more sugar. you get between 4-6 cups of frosting, ive never measured. as a side note I take the left over frosting and fold some whipped topping into,, makes a good mousse.

    Recipe #341940

thick and creamy chowder using imitation crabmeat,,, though you want to get a good quality.(I fisrt tried it with a can of corn, though hubby didnt like it so much) if you want it thinner add more cream or extra clam juice. this is still a work in progress,,, still tweeking.

    Recipe #330797

so after looking thru all the recipes for corn casserol and not seeing the version I have, thought I would share. found this in a TOH cookbook. Made it for my SIL baby shower and a Halo party and parents anniversary, I never have any left over.the original recipe called for 4 oz of sour cream, and the 4 oz to serve with it. we forgot and added the whole 8oz, but thought it tasted great so thats this recipe : )

    Recipe #330786

Not traditional, but very tasty. Found in a mag, but I have since changed it. Made too many times to count. Everybody always loves it and asks for the recipe. The original recipe called for two 11 oz pound cakes, but I just get two pound cakes from the grocery store bakery. I always have leftover pound cake, depends on how thick you want your slices. It's always better to have more than having to run to the store in the middle of your recipe. if your cheese mixture seems a little thick, just add more cream to it. Chilling time not included in prep time.

    Recipe #297302

I don't remember where I found this recipe. It's a very interesting but moist cake. I think it's fine on its own without frosting. It calls for a large bundt pan, I have a 10 cup so I cut the recipe when I make it, but I'm posting it as it was written. Since I use a smaller pan, it takes about 55 minutes for mine to bake. I also leave out the nuts. It reminds me of a big brownie. I've made it several times and everyone loves it. I use the candy bars by the checkout counter, they should be 1.5 oz and you need 8 of them. They also sell them in a pack--I think they comes 8 to a pack.

    Recipe #287104

my dad is diabetic an I've seen there inst a lot of recipes that are really "safe" for diabetics. as they shouldn't have flour or things high in carbs. Also I go the natural way with stevia or xylitol. for this I use stevioside which is stronger then regular stevia (they didn't have stevioside as an option) so if you are using regular stevia you may want increase it,,, but do it by taste. I always make two cheesecakes at a time for him so he can freeze one and he always has something on hand to eat. I'm also including two variations,,,, personally I like the key lime version better,,, but you decide.

    Recipe #287101

This is a dense chocolate cake with coffee spiked creme anglaise. I found the recipe on in '04 and have made it quite often, when I do everyone loves it. the anglaise just gives it that extra special touch.
