Got this recipe out of You: The Owner's Manual. Really liked the recipe but I probably added a little more syrup to dipping sauce than called for. I also used white cooking wine and a white onion in place of shallot, which I also sauteed in olive oil for the sauce. It could also be great to make a sandwich out of.

this is my grandmother's recipe. It makes quite a bit, but she raised 6 kids. I half it to make it for my family. You may have to adjust the vinegar in the sauce to your taste.

    Recipe #245187

This is an incredibly tender fall apart pork roast. I loved it. I suggest trying it with Recipe #245032. Both recipes came from a Southern Living cookbook someone gave me as a gift.

    Recipe #245044

I had never had Basmati rice until I cooked this dish. My sister-in-law told me it had a fragrant flavor. She was right. I loved it and my family enjoyed it as well. I had to look at a grocery store that carried specialty items for some of the ingredients. You can substitute field peas for pigeon peas if you can't find them.

    Recipe #245032

This is the Top Secret Recipes version of Wendy's chili. I never really liked beans in my chili until I tried this recipe. I love it because it is so hardy. We sometimes serve it with cheese, onions and fritos.

    Recipe #245004

This is a wonderful chowder that is easy and quick to make. Everyone will love this! We got this out of a Southern Living magazine but my husband has tweeked it a little by adding the corn and bell pepper. They add great flavor and crunch. You can omit them if preferred. I prefer to serve this with some crusty garlic bread.
