I came up with this variation from three different recipes . . . it's a delicious cross between a pie and crisp . . . it doesn't turn out runny, so if you like runny cobblers, this is probably not your cup of tea =) enjoy!!!
Searched Google and found this recipe on www.sunset.com and decided to try it out. Have tried so many choco chip cookie recipes in the past looking for the perfect soft and chewy cookie. And, after searching forever, I think I may have finally found it! Enjoy:-)
Although I'm not sure of the origin of the name, this was the main dish served at my wedding rehearsal dinner. My mother-in-law had made it for me one time I was visiting and I have loved it ever since. Although, not a low-fat, low-cal dish, it's a great way to use the left-over Thanksgiving turkey.
I came up with this while working on my own homemade version of chicken pot pie. This is the scrumptious variation that resulted. In fact, my husband loved these beef pot pies so much, that I don't make the chicken pot pies anymore! This is definitely a regular meal at our house.
