This recipe uses less fat and calories than traditional green beans with butter but tastes so much more gourmet! The beans are great hot, cold, warm. I love to just put them in a container and eat them as a snack. They are also a great unexpected addition in salads! Yummy.
I wanted to make a light, low fat side dish using fresh beans that was similar to a chinese version we like at the buffet. This turned out different but GREAT! The balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and olive oil worked great together. This dish is great hot as a side dish and the leftovers are awesome cold in a salad or just as they are.
This is a very quick and very tasty short cut to borracho bean soup. Makes a filling meal for two and is easily doubled or tripled. If you don't like spicy get the can of pintos without jalapenos and then add only one or two jalapenos without the seeds. We love spicy so we kick it up all the way.
We love this soup with cheese quesadillas and homemade flour tortillas. Yum!
This is a very easy, and amazingly delicious, Marinara recipe that I copied from my boyfriend who was a guest chef on Martha Stewart... not that that means anything. It calls for a few simple ingredients that most people have on hand. Try it, especially if you love the flavor of carmalized garlic. You will love it. (Please do not give this recipe a low rating if you do not follow it exactly.)
This makes absolutely delicious and tender meat. I like to serve it with soft corn tortillas, pico de gallo, sour cream, cilantro, slices of avocado, and homemade salsa. It's great over rice and right out of the pan. This is definitely a 5 star recipe and SOOO easy.
This recipe came from a chicken soup recipe on Zaar that soaked up all the stock leaving only the noodles. I modified it to be a tasty side dish that is way better than the Lipton packages.
To make it heartier, add more carrots and cut up cooked chicken for a main dish meal.
This was so fast for me to throw together and surprisingly tasty. If you like cellophane noodle soups & bean sprouts you might just love this!
If you do this according to the directions the noodles and vegetables will come out right. If you do it out of order you may end up with mushy noodles.
Polite request: If you change the ingredients or directions please don't rate it with the changes because you'll be rating a recipe other than this one. =)
