This is a recipe that is one of my favorites because everyone LOVES this bread and if I give them some, they never forget it! You need bananas that are so ripe, they have black spots all over them. In fact, what I usually do is stick those bananas in the freezer whole until I have enough to make this bread. Then I thaw them in a bowl and rip the stem off and just squeeze out the insides for the recipe. It makes enough to share a loaf (or a few) with your neighbors, friends, co-workers, or you could just stow them away in the freezer for when you run out. It comes out very moist inside, with a crispy crust. DEEEEEEELICIOUS!

Crisp, yummy cookies which a lot of people seem to exchange around the holidays. I think the Italian verson contains anise.

Add some extra nutrition to your morning meal. Prepare batter the night before and you can just plug in the waffle iron and GO in the morning! I'm not including this in the prep time, but batter does need to be prepared at least several hours ahead of time.

Cornmeal just adds that extra crispness that I LOVE so much! I love these with some good quality all-fruit preserves. Yum!

Homemade is always so much better than processed food! Kids always appreciate these! Beating the egg whites separately and folding them gently into the batter ensures a lighter, crispier waffle.

These are really pretty simple to make and very good! My husband is always grateful when I make them. You can use reduced-fat sour cream successfully (if you wish). I have made a batch ahead of time and used them throughout the week as well.

Down-home cookin', t'aint nothing quite like it! For breakfast, serve this with some taters. If you prefer it on the dinner menu, I suggest fresh steamed green beans and mashed taters.

This soup comes together quickly b/c most of the ingredients are canned. It is slightly spicy but you can make it spicier by using hot italian sausage if you desire. If you have never had hominy, this is a good way to try it. It is an interesting addition to soup and has a distinct flavor.

I suggest filling a holiday-appropriate container with this yummy mix and giving it as a gift or include it in a care package. It's cheap and easy to make and you could easily make more than one batch so you have plenty left to snack on!

    Recipe #48721

A bit like chipped beef on toast, only with chicken and nuts. Or this would be good over some egg noodles or rice instead. Prep and cook times are approximate.

Comfort food! When I was an exhausted single Mom working 50 hours a week and driving 3 hours a day, my best friend Love watched the kids and would often have this dish waiting for me when I came home. God Bless good friends-they always make you feel loved when you go through your roughest times in life! Now I have the LUXURY of staying at home with my babies and my husband loves it when I make this! Life is always changing!

This would make a great snack when you are out hiking in the woods or when you need an energy boost at work. You could also give it as a food gift for the holidays in a paper bag that you may want to personally decorate.

A dry mix to be given as part of a gift basket around the holidays or to mix up with hot water whenever you need a hot cup of something sweet for your soul!

A wonderful way to prepare chicken leg quarters, which are very economical! The skins are removed too, so that lessens the fat and the sauce makes the meat nice and moist without them!

Ground turkey can be used just like ground beef. I substitute it in many recipes because it drastically reduces the fat content. Many are scared they will not like it as well as ground beef, but many times it is cheaper to buy and provides just as much flavor in your recipes. This is a hearty soup and a meal in itself. To me, that is the only way to eat soup!
