Cooking method courtesy of Caesar Guinto!

    Recipe #420941

Not only healthy, its absolutely delicious! In fact, I kick start my day with a glass every morning to get my protein, fruit & fibre very quickly. My preference is cranberry juice & frozen blueberries with no ice. All other ingredients are available in large markets, drugstores & health food stores. My only deviation from Dr. Oz's recipe: (1) I don't add 600 mg of fish oil by breaking open supplement capsules (2) the addition of 1/2 cup plain fat free yogurt wasn't in the original recipe.

    Recipe #420630

A healthy (and very tasty) recipe from the Canadian Milk Calendar! I use skim milk, granny smith apples & buckwheat flour. If you're adventurous, include the optional spices!

    Recipe #413414

Similar ingredients to the recipe from Company's Coming but the cooking method from Canadian Living magazine, Feb. 2008 issue, is different.

    Recipe #281194

This quick & easy meal from Canadian Living starts on the stove and finishes in the oven while you set the table. This makes a lot--appetite sizes will determine the number of servings, but its perfect for a weeknight!

    Recipe #261272

Many chefs would argue that this should be called "Cottage Pie" since it calls for beef rather than lamb but I've never heard of it being made without meat! Personally, I think this is an excellent dish, full of flavour Although not included in the original list of ingredients, I tossed in a handful of frozen peas & corn before assembling - leftover veggies could also be used. This recipe was created by Toronto's own Lucy Waverman & published in the Autumn 2007 edition of Food & Drink magazine. Thank you Lucy!

    Recipe #255678

I've had this recipe, from Food & Drink magazine (the best of) in my pile of recipes to try for ages - now why didn't I make it sooner? I've included tips for making perfect hard boiled eggs! For best results, read the directions one day ahead.

    Recipe #241014

Like Nanaimo Bars, butter tarts are a Canadian treat and all recipes are very similar. Increase the corn syrup - they will be runnier; increase the brown sugar - they will be less runny. The cooking time will also affect the texture of the filling. My daughter and granddaughter won second place in the butter tart contest at the Good Food Festival in Toronto...... and yes, I am very proud of them ....... and yes, the tarts are delicious! My granddaughter came up with the recipe name based on the display platter they used for the contest. You can leave out the raisins entirely or decrease the amount ........ try currants or pecans, or walnuts or a mixture. My grandchildren like them with chocolate chips - the choice is yours!

    Recipe #225426

A perfect side (from Canadian Living) when tomatoes are in season without turning on your oven! I made it last night using Juliette tomatoes from my freezer and recipe #38293 Italian Seasoning. It was quick, easy and very good - I'm sure that it will be even better when the new tomato crop is available!

    Recipe #224766

These are perfect for a snack or a side to a bowl of soup! I used to make them with a crusty Italian or French loaf .......... but now I use sour dough or multi grain.

    Recipe #223225

Quick & easy - the glaze and salsa give pork a tropical flavour! It was published in Canadian Family Winter 2007 issue.

    Recipe #220674

Recipe from the Cucina Rustica in Sedona Arizona! The sauce can be made 2 hours ahead of the steaks, let stand at room temperature & rewarm when the steaks are ready. If you don't like heat, leave out the peppers. These directions are for pan fried steaks BUT ..... there's always the BBQ!

    Recipe #219208

From Food & Drink magazine.........so good & so easy!!!

    Recipe #219087

Use this syrup base to make a glass or a pitcher on those hot summer days .......... t keeps in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks! The recipe is compliments of Thelma, the old farm lady at the end of our road.

    Recipe #218483

Since I was recently introduced to Chorizo sausages by Elly In Canada, I went searching for recipes & found this in an advertisement for McCormick bay leaves .......... its quick, easy & delicious!

    Recipe #218061

I made this for the first time on St. Patrick's Day 2007 ......... I'll make it again next St Patrick's Day - or sooner!

    Recipe #217724

Open a bottle of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, reserve one cup for cooking, enjoy the rest with your S.O. or your dinner guests!!! This spectacular sauce can be made in advance & reheated to serve with roast beef or a steak!!!

    Recipe #216266

This is a basic tomato sauce; use it anytime a tomato sauce is called for - in pasta sauces, soups, stews or casseroles.

    Recipe #215264

Another selection from the Greatest Ever Tapas. Even though she doesn't like eggplant, my daughter "may" bring this to my Zaar tapas party! The timing doesn't including standing.

    Recipe #215106

I'm posting this recipe for my daughter to bring to my pot luck Zaar tapas party. Its from the Greatest Ever Tapas cookbook that she bought for me. I haven't tried this recipe yet!
