I combined several recipes and came up with this to use up leftover recipe #348845. It was delicious served warm with freshly whipped cream. If you're using challah or brioche, feel free to add 1 cup of pecans or walnuts.
i think i got this from fine cooking, but i'm not sure as i copied so many magazine recipes to try during this slow week at the office. in any event, with a few adaptions, this was delicious and quite easy to make using my kitchenaid mixer.
I love port after dinner, and I love to cook dried fruit with it. This recipe is perfect with the dried berries and the combo of dried and fresh is delicious.
in this photo i used dried cherries and golden raisins instead of the dried cranberries, very colorful and tasty.
From Bon Appetit. I had all the ingredients on hand to make this wonderful soup. This is great hot or cold, and makes a great first course for dinner. Worked as a hot lunch for me too. This makes 8 appy servings or 4 main dish.
I was looking for recipes to use up the jalapeños I'm growing, plus the mangoes, shrimp, and limes that I had on hand. I found this one, hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We did fry them, but they can also be baked in a 475°F oven and still come out crispy.
