    I just made this an hour ago so I'm writing this with a lovely chocolatey taste in my mouth! I found this recipe another website. My cupboard's pretty empty and I didn't feel like going to the shops, so I wanted a recipe which required the most basic ingredients. It's great because you know exactly what's in it. The original recipe requires using an electric whisk. I don't have one in my flat so I had to whisk it all by hand. This was pretty time consuming so I decided to only make it when I was full of energy, but after eating it I feel like making it again straight away!

    This is a delicious alternative to a traditional christmas pudding and is so quick and easy you won't belive how good it tastes. I got it off the internet last year and make it whenever I have a large number of guests around. I usually serve it with vanilla icecream or whipped cream (infused with some vanilla seeds) and people are always asking for the recipe! Try it out, you won't regret it!

    This is pretty quick to make and is super yummy. It was discovered one hungry night. The recipe is a major adaption of something I read in a cookbook once (though that involved guinea fowl, Madeira and a lot of other things I'd never find). I used chicken thighs because that's all I had, I think you should be able to use anything else though. Breast meat might be a *little* dry. The quantities I have given are quite small. It should feed one hungry person, or perhaps a lighter meal for two. I haven't doubled the recipe before, but it should still work fine.

    This is definitely one of my favorite recipes. It is from my ultimate cookbook, Great Housekeeping. I've been making this for years and it impresses every time. It also works well if you use mango pulp instead of the mixed soft fruits. Feel free to leave out the alcohol, I only add it when I it's on hand since it doesn't greatly affect the taste. I'm not too sure of the prep time and serving size so I've only written approximations. Enjoy!
