    Smoothie recipe I found in the healthy food section of Parents Magazine. I altered it slightly by adding blueberries and strawberries and increasing the yogurt and ice. My daughter loved it, which I was surprised. It isn't sweet at all. You can taste all the fruit in it. I enjoyed it, and I'm sure over time I'll get used to a non-sweet smoothie. I liked this recipe because it didn't contain any fruit juice or sugar or honey. Very kid friendly.

    These cookies have been in our family for decades. We have them every Christmas and they are my favorite. WARNING: This makes a boat load of cookies (approximately 204 cookies!) and it is a bit time consuming having to roll the cookies into balls and frost them. BUT, it is so worth it!!!

    I found this recipe on another site, courtesy of Kathy Finholt. I love it and used it on the "Why I Joined Zaar Carrot Cake" recipe. It got such rave reviews - both the cake and the icing. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all have. In case you don't know, crusting means that it hardens, but not like a royal icing. This will allow you to smooth it out and get a really smooth icing. You don't have to, but if you like the look of Fondant, you can almost get it as smooth as Fondant.

    I got this recipe from a cake site and can't stop making it. It is the best buttercream recipe that I have found. I modified my recipe to include Almond Extract, but you can use just about any extract. I've done clear vanilla and raspberry with rave reviews. I use this recipe for all my cakes and cupcakes. It colors nicely. If you want a stiffer buttercream for roses and such, omit or add very little milk. If you want a thinner buttercream, add more than 6 tbs of milk.

    These have to be one of my favorite cookies. My daughter has an allergy to eggs so I simply replace the eggs with Ener-G Egg Replacer Powder (1.5 tbs powder + 2 tbs warm water = 1 whole egg). Enjoy

    Just one of my concoctions that I created while on my juice fast. This recipe uses a Juice Machine. The juice can be on the sweet side so just dilute it with distilled water if too sweet for your buds. If I get 16 oz. of juice, I'll add 16 oz. of water, etc. You can use more or less water depending on how sweet you want the juice.

    Of all the face paint recipes that I've seen and the one that I tried before this, I like this one the BEST (differnt from the other on Recipezaar). Skeptical at first, but the paint actually dries (may take about 10 minutes or so) and isn't sticky like I would think. My DD has had it on all day and it hasn't rubbed off on any of our furniture, carpet, etc. She loves it! Also, this face paint is thin (not like the other crisco/cold cream recipes) and comes off easily with soap and water.

    DH was hungry for an omelette the other day and asked if I would make him one with Steak-Um, cream cheese and onions. I thought it was an odd combo but that was what he was craving. I have to say, it was to DIE for. He ate the first one and then asked for another. I told him I didn't think it was normal to eat 6 eggs in one day. DH likes thin omelettes so this recipe is made in our large skillet and will yield a thin omelette. If you like a thicker omelette, use a small skillet.
