Someone gave me this recipe for a tasty combination wrap (tomato, greens, and olives) that is quick and easy to do. It calls for spinach but I used a spinach and arugula combo for some extra zip.

    Recipe #365451

I originally got this from a "best" of fundraiser cookbooks collection. It is "stupid simple", and ideal for make ahead or potluck purposes. In fact, it demands to be made ahead - at least 24 hours. It has loads of sugar, but a lot of that is drained off.

    Recipe #365483

I indulge my seafood taste alone when my husband has a late meeting or event. He will *not* eat seafood (canned tuna hiding in cheese sauce or the finest, freshest and mildest of real seafood) I keep shrimp, scallops, and other fishy food in baggies in the freezer - they can be quickly thawed under cold water when needed. This recipe is hugely flexible. --onion, bell pepper and mushrooms with oregano on pasta (topped with parmesan) for an Italian dish; --include black olives, serve w/rice & top with feta for a Greek flavor --zucchini and some frozen corn, cilantro, chili powder and wrap in a flour tortilla w/jack cheese for a Southwest flair. Do your own creative things with curry powder or fresh parsley, dill or basil.

    Recipe #63280

This is a very tasty Reuben style sandwich for the kraut averse; and since it is broiled open faced very nice things happen to the cheese. Use enough cheese so that the slices cover most of the bread base. We like this with a potato or celery soup. For a really quick supper there is always the canned variety, but I recommend Creamless Celery Potato Soup #73194

    Recipe #334233

Called 'em Bounty Burgers because of their size and all the good stuff on them, *and* I think my husband would put a price on the head of anyone who ate the last one (that's his for the next day) We don't even try to force these into a bun, just serve with fries and a side salad. Good for outdoor grilling, or can be done indoors (broil/saute)

    Recipe #92659

DH took me to an Austrian themed restaurant and, as we perused the menu, the table next to us was served. He immediately said "I'll have what they are having!" Unfortunately they were having the last available servings of a house special. He was crushed. The "house" wasn't into sharing their recipe. Just based on "eye-balling" the dish I came up with this, which got the DH seal of approval. Serve with boiled new potatoes, steamed cabbage or spiced red cabbage. We like Baked Latkes #48494 and Dill Green Beans #7767 with this.

    Recipe #211294

An easy casserole using things already on hand that generated "Wow! This is s-o-o-o good!" responses. My first reaction - keep it a "secret family recipe" Second reaction -Naah. The 'zaar has shared too many great recipes with me, so it's only decent I share back. Easy substitutions of ground chicken or turkey with chicken or turkey boullion. Experienced cooks will throw in bell peppers, olives or things I haven't heard of. Prepare as presented, or have your own fun.
