This recipe comes from the cookbook Simply Classic, The Junior League of Seattle which is a collection of tremendous recipes all under one cover. This is one I truly love and make often

    Recipe #394710

This simple, quick to put together recipe is a real crowd pleaser at gatherings. Besides being healthy with high protein and high fiber, it is one of the quickest consumed. I usually have the beans on hand, and just pick up a high quality Pico de Gallo to go with. Hope you enjoy, too.

    Recipe #385343

For those of you living in the Midwest and lucky enough to snag those delicious crappie fish, here's a recipe that will do justice to those wonderful little fellas!

    Recipe #219589

This simple, but delicious pancake is my version of one they make at Elmers Restaurant chain. They serve it with powdered sugar and lemon wedges. I like a little pure maple syrup on mine or possibly some sauted apples.

    Recipe #184577

This delicious recipe came from the National Pasta Assoc's Top 10 favorites. I think it's a real winner.

    Recipe #137544

We had these at a friend's home last evening; they were very tasty. Didn't see one on the "zaar" so thought I'd share. These are very nice for the holidays and pomegranates have been touted in the news for their antioxidant benefits. Our host said they used a little more pomegranate juice than the recipe calls for so use your own judgment.

    Recipe #106765

Delicious, simple and little mess. This is from a church gathering of recipes.

    Recipe #102774

When I lived in Washington, we had these regularly when the Walla Walla "sweets" came in. They are deliciious and it's so simple! Makes a great appetizer or side dish.

    Recipe #91106

Found this recipe in our local Tucson newspaper and couldn't resist. It is one of Steve Fallwell's favorites and a frequently requested items. Try it and you'll know why.

    Recipe #89452

Here's a quick, great party pleaser I've made for years which has a lot of variability. It's really simple and goes well with beer and soft drinks at neighborhood or family gatherings.

    Recipe #64399

This recipe came from a great Washington friend years ago. We enjoyed it with them many, many times as did others. I think you'll find it wonderful too.

    Recipe #64298

Here's a great way to serve that holiday leftover turkey. Recipe came from Betty Crocker's Dinner in a Dish. It's another one of those great "comfort foods." We love it and hope you do too. Let me know what you think.

    Recipe #48390

Wow, just recently I learned about bacon jam. It is one of the most incredible things I've feasted upon in a very long time. Some of us went to a new local mini-brewery where they served bacon jam and I fell in love! I've tried a few now and this one is by far my favorite from Evil Shenanigans. Served on burgers, a panini, or just plain toast, it's over the top!

    Recipe #471595

If there's a group you want to please beyond words, make this dish. It is not without effort, but you and your guests will feel like you have eaten like kings. It's not the usual tomato rigatoni and it is quite rich, but it's one of those dishes you can have once in a while. I'm sure you could reduce the calories by using lower fat products, but I can't say what the end result would be. The recipe came from a friend (thanks Barbara) who used to be a member of a gourmet cooking group in Seattle. You be the judge! It was served with Romaine, Radocchio and Bibb Salad and rolls.

    Recipe #428222

Great for a summer backyard party with neighbors and friends. This makes the best Mai Tai ever!

    Recipe #426662

I love Italian and I love Halibut so decided to join the two in marriage. It turned out delicious, so decided to share it with you, my "zaar" friends. It's simple and delicious. I miss living in Seattle mostly for all the fresh fish and seafood, but don't miss the grey!!

    Recipe #425986

This recipe comes from a wonderful friend who said it came from her grandmother and was devoured every time she made it. If you choose to create it, you will understand why. I was fortunate enough to have been served a piece of this and later given the recipe which I am sharing with you because I've NEVER had anything better. Yes, it takes a little extra effort you young folk, but I know you won't be disappointed and anything worthwhile takes a little effort!

    Recipe #425954

I made this up today with ingredients I had on hand for unexpected dinner guests this evening. It's so simple a child could make it. (I'll probably send it to my granddaughter for a surprise dessert for Mom and Dad some evening.) Besides, it's really good. Cooking time is refrigeration time.

    Recipe #394511

This is an easy and satisfying casserole we really love when the weather turns cooler, which it has. I like to add about a cup of diced sweet onions, but you be the judge.

    Recipe #393589

Serve this salad to family or friends on a hot summer day for not only something delicious, but healthy as well.
