    Recipe #239760

Oh man are these tasty!!! I typically purchase groceries that will last the month so I do not have to bother with the hustle and bustle of the grocery store more than that. As a result I have to be a little more inventive as my resources deplete. I went to big lots yesterday and found a can of enchilada sauce and figured that could make us a great meal and i could finally try my hand at enchiladas... Folks we just had the best damn enchiladas that ever passed our lips and i came straight here to record the magic and share with y'all. These were easy to prepare and coupled with refried beans and spanish rice we were utterly satisfied, i hope you enjoy this...

    Recipe #238928

These are so yummy. My aunt submitted them to our family cookbook her story is as follows; "These cookies were served in the cafeteria when I was in elementary school. My daughter Leeann made these and entered them in the county fair and received a blue ribbon!!! The reason I chose this recipe is because they are my favorites!" I love these as well, and you can leave out the cocoa for a peanut butter jiffy rather than peanut butter and chocolate.

    Recipe #238714

This is another recipe my grandma submitted to the family cookbook she made for us. Her story for this recipe is as follows; "I got this recipe back in the 60s when I moved to Karnes City. I can't remember where I got it. I have used it many times over the years making kolaches and cinnamon rolls. My family always and still does like dessert. They are great to have on hand for thanksgiving or Christmas morning when everyone is hungry and you're busy trying to get the special holiday dinner prepared. The kolaches and cinnamon rolls can be made the day before or several days ahead and frozen. Please try your hand at these, I always loved making these, a little trouble, but you will get compliments. From scratch cooking and baking is a dying art." I have made these repeatedly since I received my cookbook for Christmas. They take a long time but are so rewarding!!! There are a bunch of variations that you can do with this dough, from sausage and cheese to fruit filed or making homemade cinnamon rolls, I will try and share the wealth with you guys.

    Recipe #238688

I altered a recipe my aunt put in our family cookbook because the ingredients I had did not match what it required, but it is a great one dish meal. The original recipe called for sausage 3 potatoes an onion and a bell pepper...

    Recipe #238685

These are an old tradition in my family, starting with my grandmother. She made a family cookbook for all the women in the family a couple of Christmases ago where we all contributed our recipes with a story about them. Here is what she wrote: "I have made these rolls for years for special occasions and Sunday dinners. The recipe was on the White Wings Flour package for years, not there anymore. Y'all always liked these rolls, best of all I enjoyed making them for y'all." My grandmother is Sylvia and she hoped that my mother and her sister would pass the tradition down to us girls. I think there is nothing more rewarding than baking bread from scratch. It takes a long time, but the results are oh so yummy.

    Recipe #238684

Oh man, my grandmother makes this and it is like my favorite cake in the world!!! She put it in our family cookbook and I can't thank her enough!!! It actually says Natali's Favorite and then the title...teehee. There are a couple of variations for the icing which I will include. I hope y'all enjoy this as much as I do.

    Recipe #238637

For Christmas my grandmother made a family cookbook. She sent out recipe cards to everyone in the family and made a deadline for us to send in our treasured recipes and to tell a story about where it came from or why it was a tradition or special. She typed out everything herself and made a response to everything we submitted. That cookbook is one of my most treasured books. It also has family photos and information on generations past. This is one of her recipes that she made when my mom was a youngster. I tried it out and had a couple of friends come over to enjoy it with us and it was a huge hit. I hope it pleases you and yours like it has my family.

    Recipe #238121

My boyfriend's parents have been vegetarian since before he was born. I had a birthday/house warming party back in April and wanted to create a main dish for the vegetarians that were present so they were not stuck eating sides to a meaty main dish. I called up my "mother-in-law" and asked her for a yummy dish and this is the one she suggested. Not only was this a hit with my veggie friends, but we eat it a lot as well.

    Recipe #238117

This stuff is AWESOME!!! It is a recipe my family has eaten for years and I carry on the tradition in my home. I just made this for my best friend's wedding reception dinner and all of it was gone and everyone asked me how it was done. They were surprised at how simple it was to make.

    Recipe #238050

I know this is simple and a no brainer, but my boyfriend and I gobble it up. This is quick and easy and a hearty protein packed dish!

    Recipe #238048

I made this recipe up last night and served it up to my boyfriend and best friend. We all agreed it was fabulous! I come on here to share this with you guys, I hope it is as tasty for y'all as it was for us...

    Recipe #234628

    Recipe #233579

I had a sweet tooth one night and found I had all the ingredients to whip this up. I found the recipe in a Texas Celebrity Cookbook my grandmother gave me for Christmas. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as we have.

    Recipe #233522

This is an interesting way to make green beans. This reminds me of a green bean casserole, but there is no soup in it. I made this for a dinner party I threw and was unsure if it would be a hit, but everyone devoured it and none was left so enjoy!

    Recipe #233514

This chicken comes out moist and tender and is oh so tasty.

    Recipe #233105

A bariatric surgery friendly recipe. You can use Splenda brown sugar and it tastes ok. I sometimes drizzle cinnamon butter on top before I bake this, but it does keep it from being really crispy when you do that.

    Recipe #232942

I like to marinate this overnight for best results. The chicken comes out tender and moist.
