Perfect for people watching their carbohydrates. If you've ever tried to come up with appetizers that are low carb, you know it's not easy. This is not really a "tart" in the traditional sense, but they are tasty and have great texture. Enjoy!
Easy, versatile and impressive! My mom made these when I was growing up. She used simple products we had on-hand.I will give the "classic" recipe (the one my mom used which is my favorite), but this recipe is more of a technique because the combinations you can use are endless!Enjoy!
Delicious & Impressive Appetizer! The recipe calls for a Smoked Gouda; but you can substitute ant semi-firm, easy melting cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, Swiss)
You can make these ahead of time and freeze them before baking. Do not thaw before baking...just bake for 25 minutes.
These are To-Die-For!
If you love those cheesy corn snacks that leave your fingers bright orange, then you have to try this recipe! The Nacho Cheese and Flamin' Hot varieties are especially good here. Make sure you use the "crunchy" ones, not the "puffs".
These are such special appetizers... I found these on another website and they were so good I had to share!
Make sure you take the time to ensure that each one is sealed well and not over stuffed or the filling will run out while baking.
Don't skip out on the bread crumbs either, they give this an extra special touch!
(You can substitute your own pie crust rather than using refridgerated premade ones)
These are great little appetizers to add to your collection!
NOTE: To make ahead, form dough into balls; place on a baking sheet & freeze until firm. Place in freezer bag. Store up to 2 weeks. To bake, place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in 375 oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
