I am by no means completely claiming this recipe it is just a tweeked version of Recipe #53047. I wanted to make it a bit more healthy, and not to mention I prepared it differently than her directions. This is a double recipe with half the mayo and 2x the spinach. Everyone raves and loves this stuff!
This is the recipe that my roommate's mom used to make when I was in college. Every time we went home she would make it for us. In my opinion this is the best Lasagna I have ever had.**Note the optional ingredients are ones that I add not part of the original recipe.***
This is my favorite potato salad. I amazed that I didn't see anything like it when I was looking on the Zaar so I thought I would share. The original recipe is rather dry (that is the way my dad likes it) but all you need to do is add more dressing and it is still yummy.
Just a fun way to serve fruit as an appetizer. Made these for my son's birthday party with those sword toothpicks and the kids loved it! You can always use regular toothpicks or make what ever you want that you can line up the fruit. The kids will love helping to make these as well as eating them. Also use whatever fruit you like these are just my family favs.
Also called "Shit on Shingles". We didn't have a lot of money when I was a kid and this was cheep and easy for mom to make! She adds sweet peas so we would get out veggies all in one. And the cheese gives jsut the right amount of salty to go witht he creamy milk!
My mom made this when i was a kid and I always loved it. Now I make it just for myself since hubby doesn't like cabbage. The best part it is so easy to make. *Note the bacon will not be crisp when all done.
These are so easy and taste so good. I learned this recipe when I worked in food service in college. We had to make 1000's of them so I got really good at it. I am not exaggerating when I tell you there are NEVER leftovers. You can even prepare them ahead of time and cook when you are ready.
SO easy, but SO good! Something a baby-sitter made when I was a kid and I begged my mom for afterward. Can be doctored in anyway you want or left as written and it always tastes good. I am guessing on measurements, so go with what tastes right to you.
I saw this on Dave Letterman, Martha Stewart was on showing interesting healthy things to put in kids lunches. My nephew thought these were the greatest things in the world. I varied it a little from what she did to what he liked so feel free to do the same for your kids!
Ever wonder what to do with all the left over hot dogs and burgers from those summer cook outs? I had this at summer camp as a kid, everyone loved it and its super easy too! I asked the cook how she made it and she told me it was something she made up out of what she had in her fridge. This is really just guess amounts feel free to add whatever you think it needs. You could even make it in the crockpot!
This is a simple way to make a yummy snack or light meal. You can sub canned green chilies and make it a vegetarian snack. Also this works best with a large electric skillet so you can cook more than one at a time.
