Easy pancakes made from scratch. You can make interesting shapes for the kids, top with fruit fillings, whipped cream, or just plain old pancake syrup and butter.

    Recipe #44853

The base for this recipe comes from "Enjoy- More Recipes from the Best of Bridge" but I've given you my adaptation of it. You can also do this on the BBQ. It is a very tasty fish recipe and I hope you'll enjoy it.

    Recipe #44852

    Recipe #42752

Tasty snack. Great for buffets, Monday night football, movie night, bridge nights, or just for supper with mashed potatoes, gravy and salad!

    Recipe #42259

This is very fruity. You can also add a carbonated beverage such as ginger ale or 7-Up if you want a bubbly punch.

    Recipe #41376

This is a great dish if you're cutting down on carbs. It is quick and easy but doesn't freeze well. So, eat up while it's still hot! :)

    Recipe #41219

An old-fashioned pancake syrup for you to try!

    Recipe #40457

This is a Norwegian recipe for the mashed potato lover in your house!

    Recipe #40456

This is an easy banana loaf recipe. It freezes well too.

    Recipe #40427

You can make this recipe with any meat. However, if you choose pork, I would suggest adding a few tbsp of vinegar to the sauce when cooking. You can also add veg such as beans or quartered potatoes. Enjoy.

    Recipe #39535

An easy recipe for making White Cake from Scratch. You can even make cup cakes from this recipe. Just line muffin tins with paper liners and bake for 20-25 min. Frost them and add sprinkles, chocolate shots or confectioner's candy.

    Recipe #39368

It's very hard to write the technique of this unleavened bread. It is very much like flatbreads of the Middle East. I have given approximate measurements because I never measure when I make them. You may find that you'll have to adjust the amount of water, flour, oil, frying time, depending on what type of frying pan you use and the type of stove you have. Good luck! They're delicious! Serve with curry. (Try my Caribbean chicken curry or my Chicken Vindaloo).

    Recipe #39198

This is a quick and easy way to make chicken curry that's not too spicy. You can still adjust the spices to suit your tastes or add different vegetables. If you like a more tomato based gravy, add chopped tomatoes. I very often add sliced green beans to this dish.

    Recipe #38911

These are a healthy lunchtime snack or an "appetizer" for children's birthday parties. Always a hit!

    Recipe #38609

We had 2 British sisters living next door to us and one day when we had a barbeque, they brought this delicious dessert! It was a hit and I had to get the recipe from them. Of course, there was no recipe written down and they just told me how to do it. So, here it is for you to try!

    Recipe #38574

This is a delicious prawn recipe. I chop the heads off before cooking them but I leave the shells on (this is more flavourful but takes a bit of effort when eating it. You can shell first if you want, it will still be tasty :) ) You can adjust the amount of coconut and cayenne to suit yourself. It is a great dish to make when you are pressed for time or when you have unexpected guests because it takes so little time to prepare.

    Recipe #38563

This recipe requires a little bit of work but it's quite good. A good way to get veggies into your diet!

    Recipe #38472

This is a tasty side dish for either a curry or something like barbequed steak/chicken. You can add green peas, mushrooms, or shredded carrot , or whatever veg you may happen to have, you can add chicken soup base or butter. You can leave out the spices or add what ever spices you prefer. It can be a different side dish every time!

    Recipe #38417

I am always asked for the recipe for this cake. It is a rich macaroon like cake that must be kept for at least a day before serving it for the flavours and texture to develop into what they should be. You may want to keep it out of reach if you have someone in the house with a sweet tooth. Resisting the urge to nibble is the hardest part of making this cake :)

    Recipe #38378

This is a variation of Shortbread that has a uniquely Canadian flavour! It is much like the Scottish shortbread with it's rich creamery butter flavour combined with Canada's maple syrup. It requires two separate steps: making the maple butter and making the shortbread. It's an easy recipe to make and I hope you enjoy it.
