A recipe by Susan Asher, owner of Thyme-Out Tea Parties. Always very popular!

I don't remember where I found this recipe. My grandmother, who is a chocoholic, loved it! The chocolate wafer cookies may or may not be difficult to find. If you can't find them, oreos with the filling removed may be used.

This recipe came from a summer issue of Bon Appetit. It is amazingly delicious! However, I will caution you, part of the reason it tastes like gold is because it is worth that after all the zesting and juicing. I will reiterate, try it at least once, it's delicious!

My family could not stop talking about how good this soup was! It came from Cuisine at Home: Splendid Soups. It recommended serving with Shoestring French Fries and chopped pickles. After making it, we also had the idea that it would be great served over toasted hamburger buns or biscuits.

I think I first got this recipe off the back of a bag of shredded cheese. Feel free to add or subtract according to your tastes. Other possibilites to add could be ranch dressing, sour cream, bleu cheese, green onion...

This is my own interpretation of a cornbread salad I had in a local restaurant. I love the combination of flavors. I've included a recipe for cornbread, but you can replace it with another.

I first got this recipe from a "Food Day" that we had in junior high Spanish class. Someone brought this dish, and the mushrooms disappeared. No one could believe they had anchovies - a food that has such negative connotations!

This is a recipe from Body & Soul Magazine. My Mom made it for me when I wasn't feeling well. At first sip, I didn't care for it, but by the end of the glass I loved it! Others who have tried it have said the same, at first you wonder; but then it's great. The article said that red/pink grapefruits are high in lycopene and vitamins A and C. They also offer potassium and folate.

Looking through my great-grandmother's recipe collection, I came upon a newspaper clipping from 1942. During the war-time rationing of meat, Pillsbury put out a recipe for an all-in-one dinner, utilizing their flour, as a means of making meat go further. I've listed the ingredients and instructions as they are found in the original, putting my notes in brackets. Have fun; it's delicious!

When I visited my Puerto Rican friends, their father made this delicious drink. He developed this recipe when he was young, working in a hotel. Tried and true!

The recipe isn't as time consuming as it looks. It's worth it! Great served with rice.

In place of shortcake or biscuits, this recipe uses chocolate biscuits. Very dense and rich! I believe the recipe came from Fine Cooking magazine.

This is a delicious, rich chicken recipe. To make it even richer, I served it with spinach alfredo pasta. It would also be great with a side of steamed broccoli.

This is a Cooking Light "lightened" version of sour cream coffee cake. Delicious and you won't even notice the healthier substitutions!

I wasn't sure how bitter, raw cranberries could turn into this tart-sweet holiday treat. They would be great year-round; however, you must start with fresh cranberries. The following is the original recipe. I had a 7.5 oz pkg of organic cranberries, so I reduced everything by a third. I also only had the ground versions of the cinnamon and cloves. It stilled turned out great, but I would use the whole versions next time.

I am not a big fan of tuna, but I think these are great! It's also a great way to use up leftover mashed potatoes. An alternative is to make up a quick batch of instant. For me, this must be served with a spicy mayo!

My mom found this great recipe in a Susan Branch cookbook. The flavor is unique, and it's healthy, too!
