This was fantastic!!! We went onto this site to find a recipe for shark, and every one of them listed either orange juice or rum as ingredients, neither of which we had. My husband did his own thing, and oh my goodness, it is wonderful!! Try it, if they sell shark in your area, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

    Recipe #381481

I love this from the store, but too expensive. I found 1 recipe for this, and it didn't work. I messed around with it until it was what I wanted. The way my staff at work were acting, they think this is the best. I do too, and hope the people at recipezaar enjoy it as well.

    Recipe #344457

My mother used to make this.......we owned a boat when I was a kid, and EVERY time we went out on it, she made this with carrot and celery strips to scoop it up with. My moms been gone for almost 30 years, but every time I make this for my dad, he says.........I remember how your mom used to make this. It is delicious!!!!! The clams can be chopped or minced, depending on what you like. Save the clam broth from the cans to add in. I couldn't get this in on ingredients. I mix it all up with a potato masher......cooking time is actually chilling time.

    Recipe #334035

I got this recipe many years ago, on the back of a real estate flyer I got in the mail. Very tasty, especially with the toasted almonds. This should serve 6-8, but my DH with a skinny body and high metabolism brings our servings down to 4. I use imitation crab meat with this.

    Recipe #333864

a wonderful combination of ingredients, and one of my family's favorites. Instead of making the crust myself, I've found that if you roll out one Pillsbury Pie Crust, and wrap the loaf in that, it works just fine. This is the original recipe, I tend to add a bit more cinnamon, and more tomato paste also.

    Recipe #333307

Now that the weather is getting cooler, this is a must on our dinner table. The best stew I've ever had, and not alot of fuss to making it. If you like to bake bread, I made bread bowls for this the other day......the stew, fantastic gravy, and bread.........wonderful!!!!!

    Recipe #329891

I don't remember where this came from, but the recipe that this is now only slightly resembles what it was when I started. The shredded chicken really helps to thicken this up, and I now add 2 lbs. of shrimp, rather than the 1 lb. it started with. A huge bowl of this, with steaming cornbread and butter, is a wonderful way to break into the fall season.

    Recipe #323823

wonderfully thick and creamy chowder. Simple to make. The secret is to let this sit all day, or overnight, in the refrigerator and reheat slowly. We serve this with oyster crackers and a slice of butter on top.

    Recipe #322333

This recipe has always been a given at large family dinners and the holidays. It seems very rich to taste, but the 'sauce' that the vegetables are in, is actually half the vegetables pureed. It's been a keeper of ours for years. The salt called for was in the recipe, I reduced that to 1/4 tsp.

    Recipe #322331

This came from 'The Old-Fashioned Cookbook by Jan McBride Carlton. Delicious, even to those who think they don't like cabbage. This recipe calls for American cheese, I used Swiss instead, but the remainder of the recipe I kept the same.

    Recipe #322326

I wish I could remember where I found this, probably in a newspaper food section. No meat in this dish, but broccoli, carrots and cheese. It is wonderful topped with the tomato sauce of your choice. If you make homemade sauce, it is the best!!!

    Recipe #321957

Another of my favorites, also out of a newspaper years ago. This is fantastic on steaks cooked on the grill, and as a dressing on baked potatoes. Use your imagination!!! I'm sure this would be just as good with other vegies, and chicken or fish.

    Recipe #321561

This is a wonderful, quick recipe. I found this in the Daily News paper many, many years ago, and it's still a favorite. Although this is the original recipe as I found it, it does double very easily, which helped when my kids got older and ate more! When I'm really in a rush, I have left out the ham and walnuts, and have added frozen peas instead to the tortellini during the last few minutes that it's boiling.

    Recipe #321291

Delicious, and easy to prepare. You can substitue ground chicken for the ground turkey if you like.

    Recipe #321157

I have a copy of the "Old Fashioned Cook Book", that my daughter Allison bought for me. I made this cake, from that book, to send to my daughter for her 20th birthday. Happy birthday my love.........MWAH from Mooma!!

    Recipe #320150

I got this from a newspaper food section. My kids love this, and I plan on sending this posting to my daughter in Texas so she can start cooking the good stuff..........

    Recipe #320070

My family loves this, even the ones that hate spinach!! This is very easy to put together. Garlic bread and a salad make it complete. This came from the back of a pasta box when I was looking for some easy way to learn how to cook.

    Recipe #319617

Very easy, very quick recipe. Great whenever you're in a hurry, which is what I always seem to be in..........chicken is great in this also.

    Recipe #319185

This is delicious, and in a time when everyone has a surplus of zucchini, it's definately needed to use it all up!!!!!

    Recipe #319027

This recipe is a favorite! Very quick for those days when you get out of work late. I got this years ago from the back of a Ronzoni pasta box. Now I use Barilla Plus multi grain pasta. Taste the pasta from time to time, the Barilla seems to take a bit longer than the regular elbow noodles. So good! Tastes fantastic with corn bread on the side.
