    Bell Pepper Rice Wedges
    Handle

This recipe comes from a can of Red Gold petite diced tomatoes. It is very good and cheesy. I left the cilantro out because I can only take it in very small doses. Please add or subtract as need to suit your taste buds. I used chipotle chili powder and it was amazing!

    Blueberry Sunrise Smoothie
    Handle

This is taken from the BH&G June 2011 issue. The scrambled egg adds protein and makes the smoothie creamy, while the blueberries give it purple color. I know... an egg in a smoothie. I nearly flipped past it too. But the egg is such a good source of protein and so easy to make. I keep frozen grapes on hand for smoothies and as a cool treat for the kids. Try it with greek yogurt for a thicker smoothie and even more protein.

Thai Chicken Tacos With Cabbage Slaw
    Handle

This is from the BH&G June 2011 issue. I make mine without the fish sauce, but only because I am allergic to all things fish :( If you an have it, by all means do. It adds even more flavor to the dish. Do NOT skip on the cilantro or lime. These are the things that make this so delicious and brings an authentic flavor to the dish. I prefer to use small, flour tortillas myself.

Honey-Glazed Peach Tart With Mascarpone Cream
    Handle

From Bon Appétit, August 2003 - Enter the tart - light, delicate, and fresh. This recipe tastes like summer on a plate - the peaches are front and foremost, lightly highlighted with a drizzle of honey, a pat of butter, and a sprinkle of almonds. Top it with some whipped mascarpone, and you’ve just made some humble peaches very happy.

    Honey Cranberry Butter
    Handle

This is by far the best cranberry butter I have ever had. I just made this to spread on some fresh bread from the oven. I think I may just be in foodie heaven! I use my kitchenaid mixer with the paddle attachment. You can use whatever you want. Frozen cranberries may be used in place of fresh - Chop before thawing.

    Bill Clinton's Oatmeal Cookies
    Handle

I don't know where Bill got his cookie recipe from, but they look vaguely familiar. These are straightforward good cookies. They have a slight twist in that the oats and the nuts are toasted before they are made into cookies. The flavor is very good.

    Antipasto Picnic Salad
    Handle

This is the most delicious salad I've had in a long time. The dressing is just fabulous and is included with the recipe. The taste is very fresh. This is perfect for lunch, or a potluck.

    Crazy Easy Ranch Dip
    Handle

Just as the title says, this ranch dip is crazy easy to make. You just stick it in the processor and VIOLA! It's done. Just like that. It's nice and creamy with just enough spices. Use some of the chopped scallions as a garnish. I also sprinkle some sweet paprika over top.

    Select
    Amish Bean Soup
    Handle

This is a wonderful warm soup to warm the heart in these last cold days of winter. Being in Wisconsin, warm soup is always a welcome thing. This is a very simple amish soup, so it has very simple ingredients. It's perfect for a beginner cook or someone like me who just wants something easy.

    Recipe #358385

    Select
    Acorn Squash With Spinach Stuffing
    Handle

Very simple side dish with very simple ingredients. The color is great and the taste is even better. It's a great comfy fall dish.

    Select
    Cranberry Cheesecake With Sauce
    Handle

Oh this cheesecake is so delicious. It's not your usual cream cheese cheesecake, but it uses mascarpone and sour cream. It is nice and creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. The butter sauce goes perfect with it. I have used spiced rum in place of the whiskey and it was very good too. I hope you enjoy it.

    Recipe #358381

    Select
    Cranberry Apple Tart
    Handle

It's easy to love apple pie. Turning out the perfect crust? Not so easy. Which is why this apple and dried cranberry tart does away with the hard part without sacrificing the joy of baking. This recipe uses purchased pizza dough to create a thin crust that is topped with tart apple slices. For a nice finish, dust the tart with powdered sugar, or a blend of powdered sugar and cinnamon. If you'd prefer a more traditional crust, a prepared pie crust also could be used. But pizza crust lends a nice chew that works well with the tender apple slices. Be sure to let the dough come to room temperature before rolling it. The dried cranberries can be soaked in water or juice for 15 minutes before using. This isn't necessary, but it makes them plump and juicy. Be sure to drain them well before placing them on the tarts.

    Turkey Sausage Wild Rice Stuffing
    Handle

Another stuffing recipe, but a little different. I like to use the turkey sausages for this because they already have some seasoning in them. The apple and pecans really raise the flavor level of the dish.

    Winter Fruit Salad
    Handle

Oh yum. This is something new for the palette that most people have in their pantry already.

    Select
Grilled Pineapple With Basil and Mint
    Handle

My favorite thing thing to make on the grill is pineapple. Grilling fresh pineapple brings out the sweetness of it. This recipe really takes it up to another level in flavors. It is fancy enough for guest and easy enough to make anytime. I like it with spiced rum too.

    Recipe #358376

    Select
    Sugared Cranberry Gorp
    Handle

I love GORP. I'm always looking for different ways to make it in different flavors and textures. It's good to try using what you really like in it. I like cranberries and sourdough pretzels, so I came up with this one. It's a nice sweet change of pace. I hope you enjoy it.

    Recipe #358375

    Select
    Two Cheese Biscuits
    Handle

The cream cheese plus the asiago cheese in these biscuits are a great combination. The flavor is different from the usual Parmesan cheese biscuits. You could use other cheeses too. If you don't have the whole wheat flour, just use regular flour in it's place.

    Recipe #358373

    Select
    Chewy Monkey Bars
    Handle

These are nice bars that are a little different from the regular crispy treats. I like the nutty flavor and all the different textures in them. You could very easily frost them with some melted chocolate chips too.

    Recipe #358372

    Select
Warm Chocolate Tart With Red Wine Sauce
    Handle

This romantic tart comes together in no time at all with the use of a premade tart shell. Feel free to make your own of course, but I stick with the premade ones on account of being pastry-challenged. As far as a rich and indulgent dessert, you cannot go wrong with warm chocolate and red wine! Perfect for valentines day, or any day that you just want to treat yourself and the ones you love.

    Recipe #349088

    Select
    Chicken Cordon Bleu Salad
    Handle

It's a little bit of work, but totally worth it. I like to do the chicken ahead of time, then warming them in the oven. These things are also good separately added to the salad. I've used leftover chicken that I've shredded, then added some ham and swiss. I then would use the cornflakes as a crispy topping.
