This is a twist on the traditional recipe. I did not have the Ranch Seasoning, but I did have a package of "Salsa" seasoning mix. Turned out excellent. I hope you like. I used Saltine crackers, but there is no reason you can't use any you have on hand.
This recipe is in "The Best of Country Cooking 2000" from Karen Collins, Wauseon, Ohio. This is her description: "The best compliment a cook can receive is to be asked for the recipe of a dish she's served. That's happened almost every time I've made these pork chops. The sauce gives them a great barbecue flavor."
Preparation time does not include marinating time:
I love Muffeletta mix.It comes in a jar and it is a mix of different olives, onions and peppers. It is more like a Olive Salad. Just ask your grocer. I tried Lexies Patio Bread and it was wonderful. I thought why not the Olive Muffeletta Mix. So I tried it and my DH loved it.
I put a slice of bacon on one half, he loved the flavour. Use the bacon for your own preference.
This is a great spice in chicken, fish and Steaks.
Warning: Do not cook inside since it will smoke up your kitchen and the neighbors for sure will call the fire department and you will have to feed them.
Cook meats on the grill or a fish cooker.
I just love this sauce. You can add more or take away as you wish. I love prepared horseradish, so I have a tendency to add more. I eat this as a low fat snack with crackers or even celery. Just Love It.
