I got this from a parenting bb. It's an easy marinated salad which will keep for days. It tastes great & uses mostly canned drained veggies. I use it all summer & get rave reviews from all who try it. Very different from the 'normal' marinated salads. It is a nice addition to any meal & great for potlucks/BBQs. Use your imagination with the ingredients; almost any canned veggie will work.

    Recipe #315704

This recipe was given to my grandmother many, many years ago by an old Welsh lady. They are a family favorite in all generations. They are different from the other recipes listed here as they do NOT have milk--eggs are the only liquid.

    Recipe #141432

This is a family favorite. My aunt found it in a local newspaper about 30 years ago--it won first prize in a rhubarb recipe contest. It was submitted by a Mrs Marcella Strand. The meat will be very tender in a slightly sour sauce. Very good over mashed potatoes or with French bread.

    Recipe #93167

Another family favorite--it's requested at every get-together. I think the recipe is from the Best of Bridge series--I got it from my aunt. It's great for potlucks/bbqs & very easy to double or triple (using one of those big foil pans). Enjoy!!

    Recipe #91600

This recipe is from the 'Highland Fling' cookbook. My grandmother ordered 4 cookbooks from Scotland for herself, my mother & my aunts. It makes a delicious, fluffy scone & we've had tons of requests for the recipe over the years. I have given the exact steps as written, but added our modifications. This makes a sweet scone--perfect for double Devonshire cream & some jam.

    Recipe #72148

I found this recipe in a magazine in a dr's office years ago, & have made it for every special occasion since. I often vary the recipe & use fruit cocktail, raspberries & canned peaches, etc. It is my dh's favorite dessert & is always gone quickly at family gatherings.

    Recipe #53271

My favorite bean casserole!!! I've taken this to many potlucks & picnics, & there's never a bean left. Everyone asks for this recipe. This is from 'The Best of the Best' cookbook. I always double this recipe & use a large crock pot; I cook for the same length of time listed below.

    Recipe #40605

This is a great recipe for those who can't handle the onion & green pepper in bean salads. I copied it out of a magazine in a doctor's office years ago. It is always a big hit at potlucks!!
